Agroha Dham Mandir Hisar – Guide 

Agroha Dham Mandir is a Hindu religious place located in Agroha, Hisar, Haryana, India. The construction of this complex started in 1976 and was completed in 1984. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Mahalakshmi and Agrasen Maharaj. Agroha Dham complex is very architecturally beautiful, this complex looks like a palace. Elephant statues have been installed on both sides of the gate at the entrance of the campus.

History of this Temple

The decision to build Agroha Dham Mandir Hisar was taken in 1976 at the All India Agrawal Representatives’ Conference. The trust was established for this purpose under Shrikrishna Modi and Rameshwar Das Gupta. The land was donated to the trust by Laxmi Narayan Gupta and the construction work was started under the supervision of Tilak Raj Agarwal. The construction of the main temple was completed in 1984 while the construction of other facilities started in 1985 under Subhash Goyal.

Shakti Sarovar is a big pond behind the temple complex. It was filled with water from 41 rivers of India in 1988. The scene of Samudra Manthan is depicted at the north-west end of the complex. A naturopathy centre is situated near Shakti Sarovar.

Agroha Dham Mandir Hisar opens at 5:00 AM in the morning and close at 9:00 PM in the evening.

Lohari Ragho is the site of the Harappan civilization and is located on the outskirts of the city. The site, when excavated, consists of three mounds from the pre-Harappan civilization. Along with this, traces of Harappan civilization have also been found here.

Barsi Gate

Standing tall with a height of 30 metres, the Barsi Gate is an important part of the area. The gate also has inscriptions which give a lot of information about the structure built during the Prithviraj Chauhan period in 1303AD.

Dargah Char Qutub Being the final resting place of four important Sufi saints, Dargah Char Qutub is a mausoleum complex. The dargah is dedicated to Jamal-ud-din Hansi, Noor-ud-din, Burhan-ud-din and Qutb-ud-din Manuwar.

By Train- The nearest railway station from Agroha Dham Mandir Hisar is Hisar railway station which is at a distance of nearly 25.6 kilometres from Agroha Dham. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.

By Road- Roads to Agroha Dham Mandir Hisar are well connected with the other cities of the country so you can easily reach this temple by using your own vehicle or by any public buses or taxi from any part of the country.
