The myth and fabricated aura of the Aam Aadmi Party doing clean politics has been busted time and again. Its several leaders are behind bars in serious cases of corruption, rioting and other heinous cases. Many other AAP leaders have been caught deranging Hindu Gods and Goddesses. It seems that AAP follows the popular phrase that birds of a feather flock together. It seems that the new entrants in AAP are just like their senior party colleagues.
Gujarat AAP announces their CM candidate
Gujarat is slated to go for polls on 1st and 5th of December. All the political parties are increasing their efforts to win the crucial state elections. No party would want to falter right before the state elections. The Aam Aadmi Party was extra-confident after its electoral success in Punjab. Since then, it decided to go aggressively for the assembly elections in Gujarat. But all their plans were foiled by their own state President Gopal Italia. By relentlessly spewing venom against Hinduism and crossing lines of public decency, he eroded even the little traction AAP was gaining in the state.

Sticking to their usual strategy, AAP neither apologised for the Hinduphobic comment nor they held their state President accountable. On the contrary, it tried to put a farce claiming that it will seek public opinion for its CM candidate in the state. Side-lining the controversial Italia for sometime, the AAP announced that its National Joint General Secretary and Ex-Journalist Isudan Gadhvi was overwhelmingly chosen by the public for the post.

AAP Supremo Kejriwal gloated that he is not only announcing the party’s CM candidate but also announcing the next CM of the state.
He said, “We don’t decide who will be the CM candidate while sitting in a room. Bhagwant Mann was chosen as CM not by the AAP but by Punjab’s public. At a time when it seems sure that the AAP will form the government, today we are not announcing the CM candidate of the AAP but announcing the CM for the next Gujarat government. Last week we invited public opinion, and 16,48,500 responses were received and 73 per cent of them named Isudanbhai Gadhvi.”

This is not a tall claim or loose talk by AAP Supremo Kejriwal. His prophecy that AAP will form a government in the state is based on an internal survey done by the Intelligence Bureau. The so-called IB report was secretly delivered to Mr. Kejriwal. We are not joking, a few weeks earlier, the AAP Supremo made these claims based on some IB reports which only he was purview to.
Who is Isudan Gadhvi?
Isudan Gadhvi is a native of Jamkhambhaliya in Devbhumi Dwarka district of coastal Saurashtra. He hails from a rural background and his father was a farmer. He studied journalism and mass communication at Gujarat Vidyapith. Initially, he worked in a popular Doordarshan show called ‘Yojana’.
From 2007 to 2011, he worked as an on-field reporter at ETV Gujarati. In 2015, he became the youngest channel head in Gujarati media with VTV Gujarati. He used to run a television show titled “Mahamanthan”.
As stated above, Isudan Gadhvi is the AAP’s CM candidate for the upcoming Gujarat assembly elections. He hails from the OBC community and with him the party wants to woo the OBC voters. They can be a deciding factor as they have a sizable population of around 48% in the state.

The former Journalist joined Aam Aadmi Party just a year back. He entered into politics on the advice of none other than the controversial state President Gopal Italia. That’s a solid start, isn’t it. Since then, he has been caught in several controversies and has spent time behind bars.
In January, the Gandhinagar police booked him under the Prohibition Act. It was alleged that while staging a protest outside BJP headquarters in Gandhinagar, they allegedly harassed a woman worker of the BJP in a drunken state.
His blood test report from the day of the protest found traces of alcohol. Later, he was arrested along with many other AAP members including party Gujarat president Gopal Italia. He spent 11 days in jail before being released on bail.
Apart from that, he has been forwarding content that backs Urban Naxals and Climate fascists like Medha Patkar or the notorious Teesta Setalvad. Individuals like them did everything possible to stop development work in Gujarat and malign the state machinery and its people for their needless hatred against the then CM of the state Narendra Modi.
Evidently, the ramifications of this move that is making him party’s CM candidate has started to come out in the open. AAP’s national joint secretary Indranil Rajyaguru quit the party after the announcement. Indranil was claimed as AAP’s strong leader in Saurashtra and their funding source in the region. The ‘elevation’ of Gadhvi has also irked supporters of Gopal Italia – a Patidar, and other senior leaders who had been in the party for a longer time than Isudan Gadhvi. But by making Isudan Gadhvi party’s CM candidate – a supporter of Urban Naxals and an alleged sexual offender, AAP has completely exposed its so-called clean party image.
