Maruti Suzuki is expanding its CNG portfolio in India and with most of its Arena models now equipped with CNG variants, the carmaker has expanded it to its Nexa models. The first Maruti Suzuki Nexa models to get the CNG option are the new Baleno and XL6. The Maruti Suzuki XL6 CNG has been introduced in a single variant, the Zeta MT, which costs Rs 12.24 lakhs ex-showroom. Customers also have the option to opt for Maruti Suzuki’s subscription program for the XL6 at Rs 30,821 per month.
Features of the New CNG Car
The new Maruti Suzuki XL6 CNG looks exactly like the petrol model. The car gets a muscular front strip with twin chrome strips on the front grille, plastic cladding on the lower half and wheel arches, roof rails and new headlights.
The new XL6 CNG gets the same 1.5-litre K-Series petrol engine as the petrol model. When run on CNG, this engine makes maximum power of 86.6bhp and peak torque of 121.5Nm. The engine is only offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox and will get a mileage of 26.32 km/kg.
The list of exterior features includes 16-inch alloy wheels, front and rear skid plates, LED headlamps with DRLs, shark-fin antenna and body-coloured ORVMs with indicators.
The XL6 CNG gets an all-black interior, height-adjustable driver seat, reclinable third-row seats, automatic AC with second row vents, cruise control, electrically adjustable ORVMs, 7-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity.
