People occupying your territory is never good for long-term social harmony. Every nationalistic government understands it. In India, Amit Shah has taken charge of ensuring that India remains the country of those, whose ancestors worked day and night to make it a better place. The 3D model of throwing out Rohingya xeroxes is a step in that direction. In other words, officials will be applying 3D formula of detecting, detaining and deporting them.

Amit Shah orders to throw out illegals

According to a report by The Hindu, Intelligence Bureau officials have a tough task in their hand. Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaus of all states have to identify around 100 illegal immigrants in each state. These people will have to get their documents checked. On the basis of their investigation, intelligence officials will arrest and deport them. Deportation orders will apply even if the neighbouring states do not accept them.

The orders are based on IB’s assessment of the situation. For the last few months, the Bureau has been nudging the Home Ministry about the rising poverty levels in these areas. In its analysis the IB found that the rise of Muslim population in the border areas is a big reason behind these changes. However, at that time, Home Minister Amit Shah had asked them to do a more in-depth study of the phenomenon.

Understanding precarious border scenario

The fact remains that many such studies have been conducted in the past. We will eventually get to them, but first, let us analyse India’s borders and their porous nature.

India shares borders with China, Pakistan, Bhutan, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Nepal and Bangladesh. Afghanistan border near Ladakh is currently under illegal occupation of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, most of these borders are not safe. Pakistan and China keep doing their stunts to harm India’s interests. Talking about Bangladesh and Myanmar, even if India shares cordial bond with those governments, Bangladeshis and Myanmaris need not oblige by the rule of law. Compared to the 6,811 kms of border with Pakistan and China, we share a 4,096.70 kms long border with Bangladesh. On Myanmar front we have 1,643 km long border.

Astoundingly, most of these border areas are porous, with little to no vigilance. It enables people of both sides to intermingle with each-other and develop a connection with powerful people on the other side of the fence. Because they look similar, eyes of the authorities assume that they are locals. When any doubt arises about anyone, these illegals hide among the dense population on fertile lands. Within a span of a few years, they expanded to other parts of the country.

Effects on the ground

After they reach their new destinations, these illegals show themselves as poor who migrated to the new place due to lack of opportunities. Local authorities are then forced to give them local identity cards, sometimes on moral ground while sometimes by the local population. According to BJP leader Harendra Kumar Pandey, over 50 lakh illegal Bangladeshi immigrants have populated all four districts of Seemanchal in Bihar.

Situation is not that good in neighbouring UP as well. Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Balrampur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Pilibhit and Khiri are the most affected districts. In over 116 villages, the Muslim population comprises more than 50 per cent of the whole. While in other 303 villages, they make up for 30 to 50 per cent of the population. A combined study by Assam and UP police found that compared to national average of 10-15 per cent, Muslim population increased by 32 per cent in border areas of Nepal and Bangladesh

These areas are nothing but a hotbed of radical Islamists. The increased population is a counter to India’s vigilant approach vis-a-vis Rohingya and other illegal Bangladeshis. This shows that they are desperate and will resort to violence against Indian officials. Maybe this is what modern Chanakya wants in order to delegitimize them. One way or another, Amit Shah has taken a big step to secure our borders.
