Step 1 of CAA-NRC 2.0 was to annihilate PFI. It’s Time for Step 2

Step 1 of CAA-NRC 2.0 was to annihilate PFI. It’s Time for Step 2
Share on FacebookShare on X

It is important to annihilate the terror infrastructure in order to completely wipe out the menace of terrorism from India. As the ideology of hatred, its instigators and pseudo-intellectuals providing moral backing to terror acts are far more dangerous when compared to any weapon of mass destruction.

Apparently, the security agencies and government has taken a tough resolve to weed out all forms of terrorism including the terror infrastructure which at an alarming speed creates such monsters at regular intervals. This will pave the way to bring in the much needed reforms and the prosperity of the nation.

Crackdown on radicalisation and industry of hatred

Society has been greatly benefitted from the advent of the internet and social media. The world has become a global village where exchange of ideas takes less than a second to travel the world.

However, this great power of internet and social media platforms, along with tools for anonymity, has been exploited by terror organisations to spread its ugly tentacles of hatred and violent communalism.

Taking cognizance of this fact, the Government of India has safeguarded the nation from possible misuse of social media to spread ideology of hatred and radicalisation.

Recently, the Government passed orders to ban these outfits from social media. Notably, without medium of mass communication, the ideology of hatred and violence will die its torturous death.

Popular Front of India's (PFI) official Twitter account has been withheld in India "in response to a legal demand."

Earlier, the security agencies had launched back to back nation-wide crackdown on terror outfits. In these raids under Operation Octopus, the security agencies broke the organisational and ground footprints of bigoted Jehadi network.

Moreover, after getting incriminating proof of the “terror links” of the outfit, the Modi government banned Popular Front of India (PFI) and it’s like minded radical outfit. In these raids, crackdowns, seizures and ban, the security agencies have plugged out the financial source of these radical outfits.

Terror Financing and link with Violent Protests

In the far end of 2019, the Modi government brought a humane Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). It was aimed to protect the religiously persecuted minorities in neighbouring countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan. However, the Islamo-leftist lobby and opposition parties created a ruckus throughout the nation.

Needless controversies and blatant lies were spread to invoke fear, insecurity and hatred in Muslim community. The protests spiralled and took violent turn in several parts of India. Later on, it culminated in the anti-Hindu Delhi riot.

However, these well-coordinated and synchronised violent protests were not organic. After thorough investigation, the security agencies found PFI imprints in several of these violent protests.

Extremist Islamists outfits like PFI were providing the financial fodder to carry out such violent inorganic protests. In their charge sheets, the Delhi Police maintained that PFI funded the anti-CAA protests across Delhi as part of a planned conspiracy to spark communal violence in North-east Delhi.

In fact, Shaheen Bagh, the hot spot for anti-CAA, was a PFI base in Delhi. A few days earlier, the Delhi Police sealed the offices of two affiliated groups of the Popular Front of India (PFI) in Shaheen Bagh.

A senior police officer said, “PFI had carefully selected the offices of these groups in Shaheen Bagh just next to their office. PFI had used this strategic advantage of location of these groups in Shaheen Bagh to fuel the protests. It was not a spontaneous protest. It is groups like these with their offices next door that fuelled the protest for over three months with money and logistical support”.

Safeguarding the community from hard-line radicals and religious indoctrination

Apart from crackdown on hard-line radicals, the government is ensuring that mischievous and anti-social elements don’t create a bridge between communities and peddle communal narrative. For that, it is emboldening the majority of the community members who are moderate but are terrorised by the violent fringe elements in their community.

It is also pushing to reform and modernise Madrassa education. It will ensure that the young generation don’t fall prey to hardliners and radical elements. Without brainwashed youth, it will be near to impossible for anti-India forces to plant any further protests like it cropped after the passage of CAA.

It is important to note that if it was not the lies, propaganda of the opposition and proscribed outfits like PFI, the humane reforms like CAA can never be misunderstood.

Cracking the spinal cord and funding sources of the nuisance creators and emboldening the moderates among the community, the government has ensured that the last time doesn’t repeat when it brings out the National Register of Citizenship in the near future.
