Ponniyin Selvan 1 OTT release date : Director Mani Ratnam’s film PS-1, known mostly for his historical films, has done well in theatres. The film has done a good collection in every language. After making a splash in theatres, this film has come on OTT. This historical period drama film has created a lot of buzz about its story, budget and the acting of the stars. But the viewers who have not been able to see this film in theatres, can now watch it comfortably from home on OTT.
The glorious history of the Chola Empire is depicted in Ponniyin Selvan. Glorious History’s Witness PS-1 is now available on Amazon Prime Video, but the film is currently being streamed in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. This film has not yet been released on OTT in Hindi. But to watch PS-1, you will have to pay Rs 199 now.

Actually PS-1 has just been released on Amazon Prime Rental. However, the OTT platform has indicated that Ponniyin Selvan will be released on November 4 for all Amazon Prime members.
Amazon Prime has written with the film on its app that it will be released to the regular audience after seven days on November 4. But even then, the film will come for the Hindi audience, it has not been told anywhere. There are also discussions that the HD print of the film has been leaked and has reached some websites. Which can have a direct impact on Amazon. That’s why Amazon has released the film on OTT in a hurry without announcement. But this is not good news for the Hindi audience as there is no information about the release of Hindi dubbed version of the film.
PS1 was released in theaters on 30 September. The film has come on OTT only after a month of its release in theatres. After taking advantage of theatres, the makers are now looking to earn from OTT as well. PS-1 stars Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Parthiban and others in pivotal roles.
