What will happen to the state whose CM keeps himself busy with superstitions? Well, the state will slip out of his hands. Something of the same sort is going to happen in Telangana. It’s just that the Bhartiya Janata Party is going to snatch the southern state from the hands of Telangana with elan. And to add on to the game, BJP now has the X-factor too.
Equations are changing in South-India
The youngest state of India, Telangana was originally carved out of Madras in 1956 but was further merged with Andhra Pradesh in order to form a state comprising of Telugu-speaking people. However, the revolution did not die and Congress in the name of fulfilling the aspirations of people, divided the land mass and formed another state, named Telangana. However, K. Chandrashekhar Rao took the credit and got himself elected as the CM of the newly formed state. KCR and his party TRS have been ruling the state since then. But he may soon lose his chair, and signals are not good for YS Jagan Mohan Reddy too.
Shah meets Jr. NTR
Home Minister Amit Shah during his one day visit to Telangana met RRR star Jr. NTR in Hyderabad. Amit Shah lavished praise on Jr. NTR and called him the ‘gem of Telugu cinema’. Sharing the pictures with the cinema star, Amit Shah wrote on Twitter, “Had a good interaction with a very talented actor and the gem of our Telugu cinema, Jr. NTR in Hyderabad.”

The meeting has set political circles abuzz, as the meeting has come amid BJP’s efforts to strengthen its presence in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. And there is always more than what meets the eye. The party sees a realistic chance to win the upcoming assembly elections.
Amit Shah on work
The BJP’s juggernaut has not halted since the 2014 Parliamentary elections and the major force behind this is the infamous Chanakya, Home Minister and former party president Amit Shah. He has been planning the strategies for the BJP and has been highly successful in taking the party to zenith. The latest vow of Amit Shah seems to be toppling the TRS government in Telangana.
As assembly elections are due in the state for 2023, BJP has searched for an X-factor in the state, and that is Jr. NTR. Jr. NTR apart from being one of the top actors of Tollywood who enjoys huge popularity, he hails from a political background. Jr. NTR’s grandfather NT Rama Rao was the founder of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and has served as the CM, popularly known as NTR. To add on, his father N Harikrishna has served as a former Andhra Pradesh minister and former Rajya Sabha member. Thus, it would not come as a surprise to many if Jr. NTR tries his hands at politics and the ultimate beneficiary of whole of this will be the Bhartiya Janata Party as it is attempting to make inroads in Telangana.
BJP eyes South-India
Meeting of Jr. NTR with Amit Shah is being seen in the background of the meeting between PM Modi and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu held recently. The recent actions suggest that BJP may show inclination to cosy up with the TDP. Also, with increasing anti-incumbency against KCR, Naidu has also been working hard to revive TDP in Telangana. Well, if BJP and TDP decide to play from the same court, it will give sleepless nights to Andhra CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy too. As with just one ally, that is TDP, the BJP is all set to make foray into both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
