Anna curses Kejriwal. Kejriwal disowns Anna

Anna Hazare letter

Have you heard the famous saying that actions speak louder than words? This is the reason why Politicians are accused of double speak, as they don’t walk their talk. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is the prime example of it. He rode a tidal wave against corruption and other social evils wrecking the society. However, all his statements and promises seem to be mere sweet talks aimed to score political brownie points only. His government and party is being accused of doing the exact same things which he once vehemently spoke against and despised.

War of words between Guru-Shishya

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is notorious for throwing his colleagues under the bus. Many of his ex-colleagues accuse him of stabbing them in the back. Now, it looks as if he is not done yet. He has virtually launched an all out attack against his former Guru Anna Hazare.

Earlier, Anna Hazare wrote a letter to the Delhi CM Kejriwal accusing him of betraying the ideology and principle of the anti-corruption movement. This constructive criticism from his former Guru didn’t go down well with Arvind Kejriwal.

As usual, instead of responding with facts, AAP supremo Kejriwal chose to attack his naysayer and resorted to his known policy, that is, accuse everyone of colluding against him. Kattar Imandar, Mr. Kejriwal accused the BJP of using Anna Hazare to target him. He gave himself, his party clean sheet stating that CBI has refuted any scam in the excise policy.

He said, “They (BJP) have been saying there’s a scam in the liquor policy but CBI said there’s no scam. Public is not listening to them. Now they are using Anna Hazare as a pretext to attack me (Ab yeh Anna Hazare Ji ke kandhe pe rakh ke banduk chala rahe hain). This is common in politics”.

Earlier, social activist Anna Hazare had written a letter to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal accusing him of being drunk on power. Anna accused that AAP Supremo and Delhi CM Kejriwal has forgotten the ideology and values of the anti-Corruption movement that gave birth to the political enterprise called AAP.

Anna Hazare writes to Delhi CM Kejriwal over New Liquor Policy

"Had expected a similar policy(like Maharashtra's). But you didn't do it.People seem to be trapped in a circle of money for power&power for money. It doesn't suit a party that emerged from a major movement,"he writes pic.twitter.com/4yTvc0XI5K

Anna categorically highlighted how Arvind Kejriwal had taken a more high ground and lectured how the excise policy should be drafted. Through the letter, Anna Hazare made Kejriwal eat his own words on the liquor policy and women’s say in drafting the Excise policy. He accused that after becoming Delhi CM, Kejriwal has betrayed the ideology and is acting drunk on power.

In letter Anna Hazare stated, “You had written the book titled ‘Swaraj‘ where you wrote about ideals. There was a lot of hope from you then, but after going into politics and becoming the Chief Minister, you have forgotten the ideology. Just like alcohol intoxication, there is an intoxication of power also. It looks like you have drowned in the intoxication of power. (Aap Satta Ke Nashe Mein Doob Gaye Hain).”

In letter Anna Hazare lambasted the Aam Aadmi Party for drafting a destructive Excise policy which allows Liquor shops in every street. He accused that the party seems to be caught in the vicious cycle of money and power.

He stated, “Had expected a similar policy (like Maharashtra’s). But you didn’t do it. People seem to be trapped in a cycle of money for power and power for money. It doesn’t suit a party that emerged from a major movement”.

Betrayer-in-chief

Arvind Kejriwal has shown the door to almost all the members of ‘Team Anna’, be it Prashant Bhusan, Yogendra Yadav, Ashutosh, Kumar Vishwas and Kiran Bedi among others. Almost all of them accused him of backstabbing and betrayal. It seems that he is the only kattar Imandar that launched the “India against Corruption” movement.

Additionally, Arvind Kejriwal has takena U-turn more than a gazillion times. He swore on his kids that he wouldn’t enter into politics, he did. He categorically said that he wouldn’t take benefits like a car, bungalow, security etc, but he did. Similarly, a lie and deceit on alliance and government with “corrupt” Congress.

Now, this attack on his own former Guru, Arvind Kejriwal has taken his ‘legacy’ to a new high. He has not only disowned Team Anna but has virtually cancelled Anna Hazare as well. So, before going into polls, voters must keep this in mind whether a politician is as good or bad as he says he is. They must watch out for actions rather than moral preaching like Delhi CM Kejriwal did on liquor policy.
