The concept of using spies and agents in other countries is not a modern one. All nations virtually try to have a network of their spies and agents in every other nation, especially the ones which they consider to be hostile. Evidently, the Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has taken that to extreme levels. These agents, through monetary benefits or other brainwashing tactics, recruit sleeper cells to carry out violent extremist acts including dastardly acts of bomb blasts.
They exploit the sentiments of certain individuals who have grudges against India or can be bought through money or religious persuasion or both. But why am I highlighting this basic functioning of ISI? The matter of fact is that this sinister plan of ISI becomes a nightmare when some top officials of our country play along with them. It opens a flood gate of trouble for national security. Apparently, the former Vice President of India, Mohammad Hamid Ansari is being accused of laying a red carpet for a Pakistani mole working for the ISI.

Pakistani Journalist exposing the raw truth
In an interview with a YouTuber, Shakil Chaudhary, Pakistani columnist Nusrat Mirza exposed the sinister plans of ISI. He exposed how the ISI used journalists and other people to gather pertinent information on India. The journalist said that he had visited India multiple times between 2005-2011 when Congress was in power and Manmohan Singh was the Prime Minister of India.
Nusrat Mirza claimed that the ISI officials would contact such journalists to gather crucial information regarding all major cities and places in India. To rub salt on wounds, in the video Nusrat Mirza claims that on certain occasions he was invited to India by none other than the then VP Hamid Ansari. Evident to note, in his own words, he divulged the fact that the purpose of those visits to India, was to gather information which ISI wanted from them.

So, the expose of ex-VP laying a red carpet for a Pakistani ISI agent has raised many eyebrows. It can mean either of the two things – Is it possible that the VP had no knowledge about this sinister plan of the ISI, or is there more weight in accusations levelled against him?

Shady Career of Hamid Ansari
This is not the first time that such grave accusations have been levelled against the former VP Hamid Ansari. Former RAW Agent NK Sood and other officials claimed that Hamid Ansari not only failed to serve the interest of India as an ambassador to foreign nations but also put the lives of RAW agents in danger. According to Mr Sood, Hamid Ansari played a major role in exposing RAW set-up in Tehran. This endangered the lives of RAW unit members.

Further, Hamid Ansari is also accused of teaming up with Ratan Sehgal of the Intelligence Bureau to destroy RAW units in the gulf prior to the 1992 Bombay blast.

Additionally, after his term as VP ended, Hamid Ansari has not maintained the decorum of his prior office. He has been indulging in fuelling false narratives of Indian Muslims being in danger and whatnot. He has been attending meetings and seminars where falsehoods about India are being propagated, in which he too has been lying through his teeth, to say the least.

It is interesting to note that such grave accusations against Mohammad Hamid Ansari are not the hearsay of any ordinary citizen to tarnish the image and normal political mudslinging. These accusations pertain to the safety and security of the country. And hence, to understand the seriousness of the claims and accusations, a serious and thorough investigation needs to be carried out so that the lives of our agents are well secured in foreign nations.
