Life on the planet Earth exists only because of evolution. The theory of Inheritance of Acquired characters commonly referred to as Lamarckism proposed by Jean Baptiste de Lamarck suggests that organs are developed in an organism as per the need of the living organism, its habits and behaviour. However, the recent controversy around the unveiled Ashok Stambh stands as a proof that the left-liberal cabal and the intellectual sect of India are unaware of the theory of evolution.
PM Modi unveils National Emblem
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 11, unveiled the 6.5 meters tall and 9,500 kg National Emblem; Ashok Stambh on the roof of the new Parliament. Cast at the top of the central foyer of the building, the emblem has been made of bronze. A supporting structure of steel weighing around 6,500 kg has been constructed to support the structure.
As per reports, the concept sketch and process of casting went through eight different stages of preparation. However, the opposition cabal is busy criticising the structure for its depiction while conveniently ignoring the infrastructural growth of the nation.
Ashok Stambh; adaptation of the Lion Capital of King Ashok
The National Emblem of India is an adaptation of the Lion Capital of King Ashoka at Sarnath, on January 26, 1950. The original cast has four lions mounted back to back on a circular abacus, that rests on a bell-shaped lotus. It contains sculptures of an elephant, horse, bull and lion. All four are separated by Dharma Chakras. The lotus was however omitted from the stambh during the process of adaptation.
Whereas, the original Lion Capital from Sarnath that was sculpted over 2,300 years ago, had open mouth and clearly visible teeth.
After the ceremony, the opposition parties had hit out at the ruling party, and called the new structure a “clear violation of the Constitution”. However, the Union Housing and Urban affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri lashed at them saying that the new structure is a “perfect replica of the Lion Capital of Ashoka in Sarnath except the size.”
Ashok Stambh: A threat to the docile image of India
The propaganda by the left-liberal cabal about the ‘roaring’ lions on the stambh is utter crap. Several social media users have pointed out that the new stambh’s lions roaring with visible fangs while attaching a photograph of allegedly old emblem with docile and ‘calmer’ lions with no teeth visible.
The National emblem is India’s most visible symbol of national identity. The roar not only depicts India’s position in the world, but also shows nation’s reaffirmation of its ancient ideals and values. As per the historical documents, the four majestic lions are roaring and facing four cardinal directions, representing power, courage, pride and confidence. And the same has been adopted by the Indian state. Still, the liberal cabal converted a fierce lion into a docile animal just as to fit the image of India they were busy preparing.
