A guilty conscience needs no accuser. The aged-old Congress party also doesn’t need any accuser as it keeps digging a hole for itself. It is now irked by Kangana Ranaut’s recently released teaser of ‘Emergency’. Well, it is understood that the party might be worried about getting exposed in the upcoming film. Their frustration is quite evident in their silly demands. I mean, how ‘cute’?
Kangana’s Emergency sparks controversy
It was only last week when the first look of the upcoming film ‘Emergency’ was released. Hours later, it became the talk of the town and people began talking about the teaser in a hushed manner. It was Kangana’s uncanny resemblance to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi that made the cinemagoers bite their nails, as they were pleasantly surprised.
The film ‘Emergency’ is still under production and has already landed in political controversy. Congress is reportedly irked by Kangana’s portrayal of Indira Gandhi. They claim that the movie is a deliberate attempt to tarnish the good image of the former Prime Minister.
In what came as a hilarious statement by the Congress party, they are demanding that the film ‘Emergency’ should be shown to them before its release in theatres.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Media Department vice-president Sangeeta Sharma referred to Kangana as a BJP agent, saying that “the actress is tarnishing the image of Indira Gandhi at the behest of the ruling BJP.”
However, State BJP spokesperson Rajpal Singh Sisodia however retaliated in the most sarcastic manner and said that “the Emergency is a black spot on the country’s democracy and Indira Gandhi was the ‘heroine’ during it, and hence they need not worry.”
Emergency will soon hit the theatres
On Thursday, 14 July, Kangana Ranaut shared the first teaser of her next directorial ‘Emergency’, in which she can be seen playing the role of the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The film ‘Emergency’ is co-written by Kangana and is a biographical drama inspired by the real life of India’s first female Prime Minister. Directed and co-written by Kangana Ranaut herself, the film Emergency has been produced under the actor’s banner, Manikarnika Films.
The teaser begins with a man standing in a gigantic office and is on a phone call. Soon, he approaches a woman and asks her if President Nixon can refer to her as ‘Madam.’
Then, Kangana’s looks as Indira Gandhi is revealed in the teaser. Believe me, when I say that Kangana inhabited the skin of the politician. From Kangana’s prosthetics and make-up to her attire, all of it completely resembles Indira Gandhi.
Kangana vs Congress
There is a reason why Kangana is always on the radar of the Congress party. There is Aamir Khan’s selective outrage in Satyameva Jayate. There are Shahrukh Khan’s bogus threats to leave the nation (its execution is still awaited). There is Taimur’s eat-sleep-repeat regime. Then we have a lone tigress roaring amongst the B-town wolves.
Only a self-made woman like Kangana Ranaut can appreciate and understand the hardships that Narendra Modi would have undergone in his journey. “I mean the graph and the ambition of an ordinary man, and whenever we have a PM who is a chaiwala, and then I always say that it is not his victory but it is the victory of my democracy. I am a big fan and I feel he is the right role model,” were the words of the unapologetic woman during a media interaction.

Be it not inviting Pak artists, be it nepotism in the film industry, be it break-ups with actors born with a silver spoon, Kangana Ranaut has always found her way with her words as well as her work.
The “Manikarnika” actor said, “Gandhi, others had agreed to hand over Netaji. Either you are a Gandhi fan or Netaji supporter. You can’t be both… Choose and decide,” She had also courted many a controversy with her statements. She stated, “Those who fought for the freedom were ‘handed over’ to their masters by those had no courage burning/ boiling hot blood to fight their oppressors but they were power-hungry and cunning.”
She has always been a critic of the Congress’ ideology. The Congress party, for the kind of its leadership is, has always been humiliating those who dare to challenge their ideas. Kangana, however, does not fear anyone. This is the reason why Congress is fuming with anger or as I would say, is insecure ever since the first look of Emergency has been released.
But, isn’t it cute to demand that they should be shown the movie prior its release? Well, this is the Congress party for you.
