Pramod’s journey
Due to the poverty of the house, He and his brother had to at his aunt’s place. His paternal uncle was a driver in a private company, so poverty and deprivation persisted there too. Some boys used to play badminton near the place where they lived in Odisha. They did not have a racket, so both the brothers used to clean the badminton court in the desire to play. In return, the boys used to give them their rackets. This started Pramod’s passion for this sport and then Pramod succeeded in achieving the Tokyo Paralympic heights today.
Pramod Bhagat not only got treatment while living in Odisha but also gave new heights to his passion for studies and sports. Seeing Pramod’s best game, the Odisha government gave Pramod a job in the health department and also gave a cash reward of 40 lakhs in 2019.

Pramod was born in Hajipur, Vaishali district, Bihar, on June 4, 1988. He comes from a family of six brothers and sisters. He contracted polio when he was five years old, resulting in a deformity in his left leg.
