Short biography facts about Diya Kumari
Bhawani Singh, the former monarch of Jaipur, surprised royalty experts and his former followers alike when he designated his son-in-law Kunwar Narendra Singh as the Maharaj of the Jaipur Dynasty. The title is usually given to the king’s, younger brothers.
On the occasion of Brigadier Singh’s birthday festivities at Chandra Mahal in the Palace during a ceremony to present the Sawai Jaipur Awards, the announcement was made on October 6.
Kunwar Narendra Singh would henceforth be known as Maharaj Narendra Singh in the royal household following the declaration, which fell short of a ceremonial anointment. The fact that he is a commoner married to Diya Kumari, Brig. Singh and Maharani Padmini’s sole daughter, is noteworthy.

Such titles are only legitimate within the enormous precincts of the city palace in the Walled City and among the family’s few remaining followers. However, the former king’s gesture demonstrated Narendra Singh’s complete assimilation into the family.
“True, Maharaj is a title bestowed upon the Maharaja’s younger brother. However, if the king wishes to honor someone, he has the authority to do so “Chandramani Singh, senior fellow at the Indian Council for Historical Research, agrees.
Many people were enraged by the title’s conferral. The Rajput Mahasabha had opposed Kunwar Narendra Singh and Diya’s marriage, claiming that they belonged to the same ‘gothra’ and hence were brother and sister. All these have came to an end in 2018 when Diya divorced with her husband.
