Dr Mukesh Batra is the creator of the Dr Batra Group of Companies, which includes a chain of homeopathic clinics in six countries as well as a consumer goods brand. Dr Mukesh Batra is well-known for bringing consistency to “homeopathic healthcare solutions” with the use of contemporary technology. Some consider him to be the father of modern homeopathy in India. In 1982, he opened the first branded and computerized homeopathic clinic in the world. He also pioneered the use of blister packs for homeopathic treatments.
Career and his journey from a doctor to an entrepreneur
Dr Mukesh Batra began his profession in 1974 at a Malabar Hill charitable homeopathy clinic. He toiled for the first 9 years at a salary of Rs. 150/- per month after making the difficult professional decision to enter homeopathy.
Dr. Batra eventually opted to open a private practice in a nearby polyclinic. Dr Mukesh Batra opened his own clinic, Positive Health Clinic, in the Chowpatty neighborhood of South Mumbai, two years later, with a bank loan at an astronomical 36 percent interest rate.
On any given day, he saw over 300 patients, including heads of state, movie stars, politicians, and businessmen. He established the first international clinic in Mauritius in 1996.
In Mauritius, he sought to legislate for the homeopathic system, and Dr Batra’s clinic is the country’s first and only recognized homeopathic clinic. He promoted homeopathy to countries in the Middle East that forbid the use of alcohol-based medications due to religious restrictions. He was a driving force behind the introduction of homeopathy in locations like Mauritius, Muscat, and London.
In 2018, Batra discussed a novel therapy method known as ‘Geno Homeopathy,’ which is a hybrid of genetics and homeopathy.
In India, hundreds of clinics have been established. Batra’s Homeopathic Clinic is located in Dubai Healthcare City, with a second location in Jumeirah Lake Towers. The clinics are located in Abu Dhabi, London, and Dhaka, in addition to Dubai.

Short biography of Dr Batra
Dr. Mukesh Batra’s parents were both physicians. His father was a homeopath, whereas his mother was an allopath. Dr. Mukesh Batra was born in the Indian city of Lucknow. He was born in Agra and then moved to Mumbai. In 1972, he graduated from the Bombay Homeopathic Medical College with a degree in homeopathy.
Dr Batra’s was recognized in the Limca Book of Records (Editions 2004 and 2005) for being the first cyber clinic to provide online consultations to over 4.5 lakh people per year. Dr Mukesh Batra attended Mumbai’s Campion School and then Jai Hind College. He enrolled in a management course in best practices in healthcare at Harvard University when he was 60 years old. In 2001, he founded the Dr Batra’s Positive Health Foundation, which serves the entire community.
