She is most known for her role as Gopi Ahem Modi in the long-running StarPlus serial Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. She was also a contestant on Bigg Boss 13, Bigg Boss 14, and Bigg Boss 15. Career
In June 2012, Devoleena Bhattacharjee took over as Gopi Ahem Modi from Giaa Manek in Star Plus’ Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, which proved to be her breakthrough. She considered leaving the show in 2014 and 2016 because of the numerous time jumps. However, she continued to play the character after the 5-year period ended in June 2017. In the same month, she had spinal surgery for an injury she sustained on the set of the show in 2013.
Following that, Bhattacharjee became a celebrity competitor in the 13th season of the reality television show Bigg Boss, which premiered in the last week of September 2019. However, she left the show two months later, in November 2019, citing medical reasons.
In August 2020, it was revealed that Devoleena Bhattacharjee would reprise her role as Gopi Modi in the Saath Nibhaana Saathiya sequel, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2, which premiered on October 19, 2020. She appeared in the first 31 episodes, with her final episode airing on November 23, 2020.
