There was a time when AIMIM’s Akbarauddin Owaisi had indirectly threatened Hindus with mass murders. In an interesting turn of events, his party member is threatening to change his religion to Hinduism.
Moradabad AIMIM leader wants to convert to Hinduism
Mohammad Rubedu, former district head of AIMIM, and his wife Sameena Pravin have come out in support of CM Yogi. Both husband and wife are so much frustrated with the way in which their local Islamic traditions work that they are now pondering over, leaving their religion and coming under the fold of Hinduism.
In a viral video, Sameena is seen saying that her life is destroyed. According to her she is being tortured by her family members and is being asked to bring in dowry. She said that her father is not capable of giving such a hefty amount of money. Then her family members started to put false cases on her. “I have seated every big Muslim. I have gone to everyone but we get the answer that if we support you then we will also be implicated in a false case. Those helping me are also threatened with the same. What is the use of such a society and religion?” she added

Her husband Mohammad Rubedu is also there in the video. He said, “We want to be Hindu. We have full faith in Chief Minister Yogi. All these (opposition) are goons of socialists. Mohammad Parvez is also a very old goon of Samajwadi. Our father is also associated with the ideology of the Samajwadi Party. That’s why they are inflicting so many atrocities on us.”

Claims and Counterclaims
The troubled couple has also written a complaint letter to Moradabad SSP. In their letter, the couple have accused their family members of torturing them. According to the letter, people accused had disconnected their tap water and electricity connections. The letter further claimed that the accused individuals had tried to capture the house in which they were living.
Meanwhile, Rubedu’s father Shabbir Hussain has claimed that his son and daughter-in-law want full property to be named only after them. According to Shabbir, he is the original victim of tortures committed by his son and daughter-in-law. He claimed that his son does not work, instead, he only sloths around the house.
It is a tight slap to AIMIM that their own party member is influenced by the practices of the very religion that they oppose in the name of secularism. Their district head and his wife must have noticed something better among their Hindu counterparts which prompted them to ponder over this decision.
Yogi government has taken various initiatives to reform Muslim society from within. However, if claim of Mohammad Rubedu is true, then it only suggests that more reform is needed to be pushed in among Muslims.
