Dipika Kakar Ibrahim is a Hindi television actress from India. She was born in a Hindu family but later she left Hinduism for the sake of marrying a Muslim boy. Muslims cannot tolerate a Hindu girl in their family without converting them to Islam so she decided to sacrifice her faith. Career
Kakar began her career as an Air Hostess in Mumbai, where she worked for three years. Then, in 2010, she made her television debut as Lakshmi in Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi. After that, she played Rekha in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo.
She played Simar Bhardwaj in Colors TV’s Sasural Simar Ka from 2011 to 2017.
In 2015, Kakar took part in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8, a celebrity dance reality show. She appeared in Star Plus’ Nach Baliye 8 with Shoaib Ibrahim in 2017. After that, she starred in Entertainment Ki Raat. Kakar was a contestant on Bigg Boss 12 in October 2018. She was declared the season’s winner on December 30, 2018.

Kakar graduated from the University of Mumbai after passing the Central Board of Secondary Education’s school-level exams.
After completing her schooling, she began working for Jet Airways as a flight attendant for nearly three years. She resigned and went into the entertainment sector due to health difficulties.

Married life and controversy
In 2011, Kakar married Raunak Samson, but the couple divorced in 2015. She then married Shoaib Ibrahim, a co-star from Sasural Simar Ka, in Bhopal on February 22, 2018. She changed her name to Faiza after converting to Islam. Her decision to change her name was criticized by many. It was labeled as hypocrisy as the decision to convert from Hinduism is itself a bad decision. Her husband called it ‘naam me kya rakha hai’ if that was so then why did she change the name.
