Career

Tasha McCauley is a Los Angeles-based technology entrepreneur. Her latest project with GeoSim Systems revolves around a breakthrough technology that allows her to create high-resolution, fully interactive virtual models of real cities. This unique method of “reality capture” produces the most detailed large-scale virtual environments yet built using real-world data. The models can be utilized in a variety of applications, including autonomous vehicle training and simulation, real estate, insurance, first responder training, video games, and more.

She was a co-founder of Fellow Robots before joining GeoSim. She previously taught robotics and served as the Director of the Autodesk Innovation Lab at Singularity University. She is a member of the Ten to the Ninth Plus Foundation’s board of directors, which is dedicated to promoting exponential technological progress around the world. She’s also on the board of directors of OpenAI, an AI research firm dedicated to figuring out and implementing the best way to create safe artificial general intelligence.
