On Sunday, July 21st, Poorna Patel, daughter of former civil aviation minister Praful Patel, married Namit Soni, managing director of Namco Industries. Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Mukesh Ambani with daughter Isha Ambani, Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha, MS Dhoni and wife Sakshi Dhoni were among the Bollywood celebs who attended the star-studded wedding and celebration in Mumbai.
For both her wedding and celebration, the stunning bride chose custom-made gowns by designer Manish Malhotra. It took more than three months to create the off-white wedding lehenga with delicate pink embroidery and silver zardozi. The names of Poorna and Namit were embroidered on the lehenga’s trail, along with holy shlokas and poems, making it a distinctive and timeless artwork.
The bride wore a dramatic, all-gold ensemble with beautiful diamond jewelry for the reception night, standing alongside her better half, who was also dressed in bespoke Manish Malhotra.

Father of Poorna Patel
Praful Manoharbhai Patel is an Indian politician who was born on February 17, 1957. His father, Manoharbhai Patel, is a member of the Indian National Congress who was elected to represent the Maharashtra districts of Gondia and Bhandara. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Bombay and is married to Varsha Patel, the daughter of a Gujarati businessman.
In 2004, he was appointed as the Union Minister of Civil Aviation (Independent Charge) after a political career that began in 1991. His family owns the CEEJAY group, which is India’s largest tobacco conglomerate.
Since 2012, he has served as the president of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), India’s association football regulatory organization. At the AFC Congress in Bahrain in 2015, he was elected vice president of the SAFF region of the Asian Football Confederation.
