Telangana will go to the polls next year. Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao seemingly has gone berserk and thus is showing early signs vindicating that he will be losing the next assembly elections. A year ahead of the Telangana assembly elections, the state CM has taken an anti-India path while showing his hate towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This will probably end up making him lose the state.
KCR asks for proof of surgical strikes
Telangana Chief Minister keeps spewing venoms against BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While addressing media during a press conference in Hyderabad, he called the BJP-led government “totally undemocratic”. He also slammed the PM on the issue of now revoked farm bills and Muslim girls wearing Hijab (headscarves) in Karnataka schools and universities.
Mr Rao also shamelessly claimed that Rahul Gandhi did nothing wrong when the latter asked for proof of surgical strikes. “Even I can ask for proof,” he stated. Moving further, he added that “there’s a popular apprehension” of disturbances at the borders right before elections. How can the BJP use the surgical strikes for political ends?”
“Rahul Gandhi’s father was killed, grandmother was killed, great grandfather went to jail for the country and a BJP Chief Minister speaks like this?” Mr Rao said.
Telangana CM’s demeaning remarks for Indian constitution
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, this month, also made a demeaning remark for the Indian Constitution. He stated that “India needs to rewrite its Constitution to fulfil people’s expectations and to ensure that the country progresses to its full potential.”
He also accused both Congress and the BJP claiming that they have miserably failed in addressing the basic needs of people in the last 75 years.

However, later, he tried to defend the demeaning statement and reportedly asserted that “he demanded the new Constitution for the welfare and betterment of SC, ST, OBC, and also for the protection of women and girls.”
KCR’s national political ambitions
KCR aims at becoming the tallest opposition leader and the sure-shot way of being noticed as a viable frontline leader ahead of the next general election is targeting PM Modi. This is how he can present himself as a fearless leader to take the battle right to the PM’s doorstep.
KCR will contest elections for India’s youngest state votes in 2023. In 2018, he managed to increase his party score to 88 (out of 117). The Congress, earlier, was the main Opposition in Telangana, but the current situation shows the rise of the BJP which is aggressively trying to grow. And thus, to keep the BJP in check, he keeps on attacking the party and Prime Minister Modi.
However, these attempts will reflect badly on his image, and he will end up losing Telangana even before the assembly elections.
