10th of February witnessed the first phase of voting for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election on 58 seats covering 11 districts of the state. The voting for the western part of the state began at 7 am and concluded at 6 pm. BJP is leaving no stone unturned to ensure the maximum vote count. The saffron party does not want to lose any opportunity and thus, UP CM Yogi Adityanath released a six-minute video a few hours before the voting began.
UP CM’s gentle reminder
UP CM Yogi Adityanath released a six-minute video message on Twitter ahead of the first phase of the assembly elections in UP. CM Yogi remarked that “He was concerned that rioters, whose activities were curbed by his government, are now feeling uneasy. Terrorists are making threats.”
While appealing to voters, CM Yogi also reminded people that if they do not vote for the saffron party, the state will become Kashmir, Kerala, or Bengal. He stated, “Be alert. If you miss this time, the five-year effort will be washed away. And it will take no time for UP to become Kashmir, Kerala or Bengal.” He asserted, “This vote will be your guarantee to a life without fear?”

Moving further, he added that UP is now free from “professional criminals” and the terror of the mafia. He stated, “The Hindus who migrated from their home have returned.” His statement was a possible reference to the alleged exodus of traders after threats from criminals in Shamli’s Kairana town some years back. Those who used to issue threats and extort money from traders are either in jail or have left the state.
He did not stop here. He further rightfully claimed that the police is now free from political interference, and women are safer in the state.

Speaking about himself, CM Yogi was heard saying that he has been unbiased during his tenure as CM, and no one can accuse him on the charge of corruption of “a single paisa.”
What CM Yogi’s appeal means
CM Yogi’s appeal came at a crucial point when the voting was just about to begin. For those unversed, Kashmir, Kerala and Bengal are among the states where Hindus are being forced to convert and are being mistreated. The communist parties in Kerala have been in the limelight for the anti-Hindu instances. Be it forced conversion, attacks on temples or a below-average development; these states have witnessed it all.
Coming back to Uttar Pradesh, the state is now free from ‘Mafiaraj.’ The cases of Love jihad along with land jihad, that is, encroachment have declined dramatically. Moreover, it has developed in the terms of infrastructure, economy, and women safety. The construction of the Kashi corridor, Ram Janmabhoomi and decline in cow slaughtering etc have refurbished the state in an explicit manner.
