Ravish Kumar spreads fake news to save Congress

Like an obedient sepoy, out and about to protect his masters, NDTV journalist and Magsaysay award winner Ravish Kumar has taken to the ground to perform his duties. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his convoy narrowly averted a major security crisis on Wednesday en route Punjab’s Ferozepur – Ravish in his prime-time show tried to deflect the blame from the Punjab government to shield the Congress party.

Reportedly, Ravish claimed that the PM’s convoy had no prior plan to visit Hussainiwala as it was not mentioned in the itinerary posted by the Press Bureau of India (PIB).

Punjab Congress posted the route information with Hussainiwala in it

However, Ravish’s claims fell flat when a popular netizen named Ankur Singh furnished a side-by-side comparison of Punjab Congress press note where it was written that PM Modi was indeed going to visit Hussainiwala.

Ankur took to Twitter to state, “How Ravish Defends Congress. Says visit to Hussainiwala wasn’t on PM Schedule. But @INCPunjab itself shared January 4 letter of PM Schedule which clearly mentioned Hussainiwala.”

It is clearly mentioned in the Congress press note that PM Modi’s convoy was going to visit Hussainiwala. If the PIB site didn’t mention the visit and Punjab Congress knew it, a question begets itself. Were CM Channi and his top administrative officials knowingly passing the crucial route information to the protestors and party workers? After all, several Congress leaders like Srinivas BV were seen rejoicing the events of the flyover.

Home Ministry issues statement

The home ministry in the aftermath of the incident stated, “Around 30 kms away from National Martyrs Memorial in Hussainiwala, when the Prime Minister’s convoy reached a flyover, it was found that the road was blocked by some protestors. The PM was stuck on a flyover for 15-20 minutes. This was a major lapse in the security of PM,”

While Ravish was furiously trying to save Congress from the heat, former Congress leader and Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh levied the blame squarely upon current Congress CM Charanjit Singh Channi and asked for his resignation.

Captain Amarinder tweeted, “Complete failure of law and order in Punjab, CM and HM Punjab, in particular. When you cannot provide smooth passage to the Prime Minister of the country and that too just 10km from the Pakistan border, you have no right to stay in office and should quit!”

Inadvertently, in an attempt to shield his masters, Ravish exposed them. The fall from grace for the NDTV journalist has been spectacular and he has now turned into an unofficial spokesperson for the left-liberal establishment of the country, trying to argue their case from hopeless positions, failing miserably in the process.
