A blast occurred inside the Ludhiana District Court Complex on Thursday in which one person died and six were injured. The blast happened inside a public washroom on the second floor when the court was functioning. Punjab Director General of Police had suspected the involvement of Khalistani and narco-terror elements operating from Pakistan in the blast. And his suspicion has turned out to be true as a Pakistan-based radical, and a pro-Khalistan terrorist in Germany reportedly carried out the blast.
ISI and Khalistanis behind Ludhiana blast
According to the Hindustan Times report, ‘Category A’ wanted gangster and Khalistani radical, Harvinder Singh Sandhu is behind the Ludhiana blast. Backed by terrorist groups in Pakistan as well as Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Harvinder has been instructed by ISI to destabilise Punjab and carry out attacks a few months ahead of the assembly elections next years, as per the security officials.
“He is most wanted A+ Category Gangster of Punjab. He is also wanted in Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Haryana, and West Bengal, etc,” officials stated.
Who is Harvinder Singh Sandhu?
Intelligence data revealed that 35-year-old Sandhu is suspected to be a resident of Pakistan. He also possesses an Indian passport with a fake identity and has links with Babbar Khalsa International chief Wadhawa Singh, who is based in Lahore.
Involved in large-scale cross-border smuggling of drugs and weapons, Sandhu was arrested for the first time in 2008 for killing a man over personal enmity in Tarn Taran. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder but in October 2014, was released on bail from the Nabha jail.
He killed a number of people including a Granthi of a Gurdwara in Gurdaspur, Punjab, and two others in Nanded and Wazirabad— both in Maharashtra— again to avenge his brother.
He is a wanted criminal for involvement in approximately 30 criminal cases, including 10 murders, 6 cases of attempt to murder, 7 cases of dacoities and snatching besides abductions, extortions, and cases under the Arms Act and NDPS Act.
It was in 2018, when gangster Dilpreet Singh Dhahan alias Baba for revealed that Sandhu, his associate, had connections with the Pakistan-based terrorist and Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) chief Wadhawa Singh Babbar.
