She is a Muslim girl married to Hindu Boy Dinesh Gundu Rao following their affairs in the 90s. Even after a long bonding together their relationship has been criticized by politicians of the rivals. Both of them following their religion and have not been converted.

It is obvious that in politics personal attacks are made and in Indian politics, the caste-based slurs and faith-based comments are not censored properly and the tradition continued so far.
Faith is always being a political agenda and any chances that a politician might be optimistic about are never taken back. So Tabassum’s name in politics with her involvement is not a matter of shock. However, personal comments about someone other than a politician is not considered good politics. Husband of Tabassum Rao
Dinesh Gundu Rao is the Chief of the All India Congress Committee for Goa, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry in India. He was the President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. He was born in the Coorg of Kushal Nagar. He is the second of three sons of R. Gundu Rao, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka.

Tabassum Rao is a housewife and stays at her home in Bangalore, Karnataka. She has two daughters with Dinesh Rao, studying abroad. She likes to stay away from politics but whenever she is dragged she comes forward and speaks to the media to defend her husband. She is active on social media and regularly expresses her opinions.
