London has the worst vehicular traffic on earth

Once known as an epitome representing British Empire, London is now at probably its lowest point in recent history. Even after a huge reduction in the number of travelers, London has been found to have the worst vehicular traffic on Earth.

London-Most congested city in the world

A recent report by transportation analytics firm Inrix Inc. has revealed that London has become the most congested city in the world. The Washington-based firm came to this conclusion after running a thorough analysis of the geospatial movement of traffic in 1,000 cities across 50 countries. These cities include Paris, Moscow, Brussels, and New York.

A detailed analysis of the report reveals that on average, British drivers lost a total of 3 days in unnecessary traffic on road. The numbers for London, the capital was much worse as a driver driving on capital’s road was forced to spend extra 6 days and 4 hours away from his/her family.

The constant traffic jam also came at an economic cost for the drivers and the country as a whole. An average driver in Britain was forced to forego £595 from his salary due to traffic congestion. On a macro level, the blockage of roads caused Britishers a total loss of £8 billion to the country’s Gross domestic product (GDP).

The problem of overcrowding of roads came as an awestruck moment for the researchers as well as city administration. While most of the European cities have opened up their economic activity on a large scale, much of the British economy is still about to open in full throttle. Currently, public transport is carrying around only two-third of their capacity in Britain.

Sadiq Khan has almost destroyed London

The vehicular bottleneck is not the only problem miring the otherwise glamorous London. It is getting filled with extremists like Khalistanis and Islamists all around the world. Sadiq Khan’s appointment as a mayor has been nothing but a blessing in disguise for extremists looking to utilize the city’s older fame to run their agendas.

As reported by the TFI, in September 2015 about 10,000 British Pakistanis marched to London in hundreds of train coaches from across the United Kingdom with the sole aim to deface and ambush the Indian High Commission (IHC) building.

Islamists overcrowding London cities

There have been various reports in the mainstream media on how Islamists are occupying otherwise Christian spaces and streets of London. Some reports even suggest that Police are not allowed to enter into those localities, as special Sharia laws guarding those streets are getting protection from the British administration under the guise of freedom of religion.

The resource crunch caused due to Brexit has been worsened by the pandemic-related crisis. Britain is staring at a huge economic recession right now. Even once considered a maverick PM, Boris Johnson is facing problems from inside his party as well as opposition. London’s traffic problem and an increasing number of cyclists on road is an indication of Britishers flocking to cheaper means of transport due to economic crisis. No one can predict it perfectly, but ‘The Fall of London’ signals towards the final end of the cultural legacy of the British Empire.
