It was just a few weeks ago where a video of an arrogant lady ruthlessly beating a cab driver in public went viral. The incident incited a feeling of rage amongst the general public because of the way such pseudo feminists openly abuse and harass men in the garb of ‘women empowerment’. Recently, a similar incident took place in Noida, where a female passenger was wrongfully accusing her Uber driver of molestation.

The viral video recorded by the Uber driver showcases an interaction between him and the female passenger. The female passenger wanted the driver to take a detour to an extra stop so that she could pick some of her things without adding/changing the location on the app. The driver could be seen requesting her to add the new location in the application; otherwise, it would become a little inconvenient for him.

However, as per the video, the woman could be heard refusing the driver’s request, saying that if she adds the location, she would have to pay double the amount. Furthermore, she threatened to call the cops and complain against him if he didn’t follow her instructions.
To save himself from getting defamed, the driver, in his defence, recorded the entire conversation that took place between them. In the video, we could clearly see that the female passenger was accusing the driver on baseless grounds and threatening to charge false molestation charges on him.
The woman even made a phone call to a police officer, where she tells the officer that the driver was misbehaving with her. However, even when the lady was wrongfully accusing the driver, he didn’t lose his calm and narrated the whole truth to the police officer.
The day the video went viral, Netizens took to Twitter to share their views on the incident.
Journalist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj tweeted: “She wanted @Uber_India driver to drive her to another stop so that she could pick her stuff that too for FREE. When he refused to do so and asked her to add stop, she called cops & falsely accused him of molestation, abuse &zabardasti. I feel so bad for such drivers.”

Another Twitter user tweeted: “@Uber_India will you take any action against this women. There was a similar case in USA where a women harassed a driver because he asked her to wear a mask. That lady was banned from Uber. So Ban this women from Uber. But I do not think you have the guts to do that”
Just for a moment, let’s imagine the consequences the driver would have faced if he didn’t have this video to serve as his witness. Wrongfully, accusing or harassing men is not what real feminism stands for. Pseudo feminists have shifted their focus from real issues that women face in today’s world and are peddling fake narratives and threatening men on baseless grounds in the name of ‘empowerment’
Even in the past, many cases have been reported where pseudo-feminists have falsely accused and misbehaved with delivery guys and cab drivers. One such incident took place this year, where an influencer Hitesha, falsely accused a Zomato delivery guy of hitting her.
These kinds of incidents should always be properly investigated. This is not an issue of gender discrimination neither a case of gender inequality, but it’s about basic human rights. If the woman is found guilty she should be held responsible because incidents like these only malign the feminist movement and further portrays a wrong perception about the main idea of feminism.
At least such an abuser’s name and pictures should be published.
