In the last few months, Rahul Gandhi led opposition has tried to stir multiple controversies like the issue of Farm laws, Rafale, Bharat Biotech and Pegasus and all these issues have proved to be nothing but a failure just like the political aspirations of the opposition. Assembly elections are going to be held next year in 7 states and the opposition parties are trying their best to break the credibility of the Modi government.
The absence of valid criticism has once again taken them back to the farmers’ movement. As on Monday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi could be seen indulging in a publicity stunt, as he came to the Parliament on a tractor to show his solidarity for the agitating farmers.
Recently, the Congress party has also tried to raise the issue of Rafale aircraft once again. Randeep Singh Surjewala during his press briefing on 3rd July had said that The scandalous expose of ‘Rafale Scam’ involving ‘massive corruption’, ‘treason’, ‘loss to public exchequer has finally been uncovered and laid bare. The Congress Party and Rahul Gandhi stand vindicated today.”
But yet they failed miserably as the accusations were not backed up with enough evidence. Every time Congress tries to highlight corruption by other parties (real or fabricated), its past sins come out and the party suffers more loss than gain.
Similarly, taking advantage of the Pandemic situation, rather than providing solutions, the Congress party under Rahul Gandhi was involved in blame game politics, something that they are best at. They had started spreading all kinds of misconceptions about the vaccine for political gains, which would hurt the image of the central government. Whereas, it is important to note that vaccines are available for free in BJP ruled states and chargeable in non-BJP states and this reflects the irony of the situation.

Recently, Congress party spokesperson Pawan Khera accused the central government of ongoing corruption in the BharatNet project. Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said in a preliminary report, the CAG has pointed out that huge payments were made between July 2019 and December 2020 to Common Service Centres (CSC) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
For cheap publicity and petty gains, Congress was leading a smear campaign against Bharat Biotech, this effort of the Congress also failed. The Congress high command did not take Pawan Khera’s words seriously and this alleged allegation did not last even a day. The fact is that the people of the country do not have any faith in the words of Rahul Gandhi or the Congress party, which has been involved in corruption for decades.
After which, opposition parties, Rahul Gandhi, along with foreign powers and left-wing journalists, brought the Pegasus espionage case to the fore. It is worth noting that despite making this an international issue, the opposition still suffered. All the surveys show that the public’s faith in PM Modi is unshakable. Overall, this issue of the opposition could not entice the public like their other issues.

After multiple failures encountered by Rahul Gandhi and his allies, there were not many concrete issues left in the hands of the Opposition to start the blame game again. Trying to make the best of the situation, Rahul Gandhi started another publicity stunt based on the baseless ground by supporting an incompatible issue like the farmers’ movement. Rahul Gandhi went to Parliament today on a tractor so that the so-called farmers would accept him as their leader.
When Rahul Gandhi’s real issues could not impress the people, he is trying to maintain his political existence by joining the farmers. Rahul Gandhi has given false assurances to the farmers that he is associated with the farmers for the purpose of getting the three agricultural rules repealed, but tomorrow when these bills become law, he will resort to a different approach.
Keeping in mind the present situation, with no other options available, Rahul Gandhi was forced to resort to the farmers’ movement to keep his politics alive. The most interesting thing in this is that the Congress party has no faith in the allegation made by themselves, as they are vague and baseless. The opposition and in specific, the Congress is only trying to prolong the second wave and politicize every issue during a Pandemic for some mere electoral gains while calling the Modi Government Anti-national.
