Baba Ramdev’s crass comments against allopathy have stirred up a huge debate on Allopathy vs Ayurveda. While both forms of treatments have their proponents and naysayers, the controversy has also brought to light the zest of IMA President Jayalal to promote Christianity in hospitals. Now, a Legal rights body has requested the Centre to cancel IMA’s FCRA license citing the promotion of conversion under the leadership of Jayalal.
In its complaint to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Legal Rights Protection Forum (LPRF) has sought the cancellation of the Indian Medical Association for violating section 12(4)(f)(vi) of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 2010.
The complaint states, “Indian Medical Association (IMA) is a registered society bearing registration no. 35 dated 17-05-1934 having its headquarters at IMA House, Indra Prastha Marg, New Delhi – 110002. The said organization is widely regarded as Guild of Indian Medical Practitioners in India is represented by its President Dr John Rose Austin Jayalal, National President and Chief Functionary of the society.”
It added, “It has come to the notice of larger public of the nation that Dr John Rose Austin Jayalal, the President of ‘Indian Medical Association’ Society is abusing his position and profession to convert to Christianity, young doctors and anyone who comes into contact with him in the course of the discharge of his duties as National President of IMA.”
Not only has LPRF flagged two interviews of Dr John Rose Austin Jayalal given to Haggai International and Christian today respectively, but the legs rights body has also listed out Dr Jayalal’s controversial statements where he displays his love for evangelical activities.
Statements like, “Government has not come forward to support COVID victims/lockdown difficulties but Church has taken care of that”, “We need more Christian doctors to work more in secular institutions, mission institutions, and medical colleges”, “I am working as a professor of surgery in a medical college, so it is also a good opportunity for me to carry on the principles of Christian healing there. I also have the privilege of mentoring graduates and the interns” and “Hindus are softcore, practice polytheism and hence easy to make them accept Jesus” to name a few have been flagged by the LPRF.
For the uninitiated, Haggai International is an international body, with the aim of “redeeming and transforming” every nation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Dr Jayalal in an interview with Haggai International said, “I deeply desire to be a living witness to God and encourage young medical students and doctors to receive Jesus as their personal saviour. I aim to be a witness for God in the secular organization I serve.” Haggai International, in the article, has also said, “Installed as president of the Indian Medical Association last December, Dr Jayalal sees it all as a platform to share the love of Jesus Christ.”
Effectively, the new IMA President has made no secret of the fact that the association, henceforth, will be used for spreading the word of the gospel and proselytising susceptible young students and medical practitioners into the fold of Christianity. Why the IMA is allowing the same to happen, and how Jayalal continues to be president of the association as of this moment are questions that are yet to be answered.
Indian Medical Association is is not a government body! So whatever Abrahimic agenda they preach cannot attract any action!
You will find many gullible people and even doctors towing the IMA’s propaganda, just because it is headed by “doctors” and is a body “doctors” and “doctors’ are “god” and of course “god” is always right.
Appears to be a veiled attempt to confuse people of India by a small section who could not digest the justifiable request by IMA to arrest aBaba Ramdev.
Dr.Jaylsl is af the helmet but IMA and Dr Jaysldl are two different identities. If Dr Jayalslal has done anything wrong why we have to cancel one licences fo IMA?
Very much disgusting and illogical an attempt.
