The arrest of Rhea Chakraborty has caused a flutter in Bollywood making several bigwigs uneasy. During her interrogation, Rhea along with her brother revealed the names of top Bollywood celebrities with connections to the drug cartel with the Narcotics Control Bureau all set to summon the Bollywood celebrities named by Rhea Chakraborty.
The noose is tightening as the central agencies are inching increasingly closer to completely expose the Bollywood. The Special Investigative Team of the Narcotics Control Bureau has prepared a list of 20-25 top Bollywood celebrities who allegedly have links to the drug cartel and have been named by Rhea and her brother, Showik Chakraborty during their interrogation. The NCB SIT team has also prepared a dossier and the celebrities will be summoned in the next 10 days. The prepared list will separate the 25 celebrities into three categories — Cartel A, B and C.
While Rhea and her lawyer earlier claimed that she had never consumed banned substances and had even offered for her to undergo a drug test, Rhea has reportedly confessed to partaking marijuana.
The Bollywood cabal has unleashed a massive PR strategy to help Rhea play the victim card with the who’s who of Bollywood now demanding justice for Rhea. This points out that someone powerful might be needed to save and hence, even those celebrities who have so far refused to comment on the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput are now coming out with calls for Rhea Chakraborty.
It might also be the case of celebrities attempting to be in the good books of Rhea as the suspense remains around which celebrities have been named by Rhea. Anyone who has worked in Bollywood is aware of the industry’s affinity for banned substances — a claim backed by Kangana Ranaut.
Last week, Showik after being arrested had admitted that he used to ‘arrange’ drugs for his sister. Rhea and her PR machinery are now indulging in mudslinging as Rhea now claims that it was Sushant who used to consume drugs and had asked her to arrange for the same. Only a person with no moral and ethics would accuse a dead person of something to save herself.
Arnab Goswami had in the past has repeatedly claimed that the Bandra Police was working in cahoots with Rhea Chakraborty and now just before her arrest, Rhea filed a police case against Sushant’s sister Priyanka Singh at the Bandra police station where she claimed that Sushant passed away five days after he obtained a prescription wherein ‘he has unlawfully prescribed psychotropic substances at the behest of his sister Priyanka’.
From playing the victim card to blaming Sushant to targeting his family, nothing seems to be working for Rhea and the Bollywood cabal. As celebrities cue up to support Rhea, it is clear that the alarm bells have started ringing in Bollywood with the industry headed for an almighty cleanup.
