In what comes as saddening news for Bollywood’s inner hegemons, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), acting upon the statement of prime accused in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, Rhea Chakraborty, is all set to investigate an old video which had gone extremely viral last year, where it was seen that multiple stars from the film industry were attending a party hosted by Karan Johar. The video, first posted by Akali Dal MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa had invited a tsunami of speculations, owing to the gestures and appearance of various ‘stars’ seen in the video.
As reported by DNA, the NCB is now investigating an old video from Karan Johar’s party (in October 2019) where some believed that actor Vicky Kaushal, among others, consumed drugs. Reports stated that the NCB will summon 25 prominent Bollywood stars soon, mainly from the video. Those seen in the video include Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Zoya Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Mira Rajput, Shakun Batra, among others.

As revealed by Rhea Chakraborty to the NCB, names of five drug-users have been made public, which include the likes of Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, designer Simone Khambatta, Sushant’s friend and former manager Rohini Iyer and Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘Dil Bechara’ director Mukesh Chhabra.
If reports about NCB summoning film stars seen in the viral video are true, Mumbai’s film industry, rest assured, will come down like a pack of cards. The superstars who allegedly consumed drugs during Karan Johar’s party will be forced by the NCB, during questioning, to reveal all details about drug consumption and circulation that they know of in Bollywood.
The white content near Vicky Kaushal’s lap, his nose-rub gesture and Ayan Mukerji hiding something as the camera turns to him had all convinced netizens that drugs and illegal substances were involved in the party.
The NCB investigation is going to be a big headache for Karan Johar who had defended himself by questioning the speculators if he would put up a video if there were drugs involved. He had also said that what people assumed drugs, was in fact a reflection of light, and that Vicky rubbed his nose because he was recovering from dengue. Vicky Kaushal to his defence had said that Johar’s mother was present with them just five minutes prior to the video being recorded.
Rhea Chakraborty’s involvement in the alleged consumption and procurement of drugs as per NCB ‘s findings has landed her in jail, and it seems a large chunk of film stars are all set to follow her lead. A Mumbai special court had rejected Rhea, her brother Showik and four other bail applications on Friday.
