The anti-racism liberals of England are after “Brown” Priti Patel. But Patel is giving them hell

It is not easy being an Indian in the West, leave alone being an Indian and one of the highest-ranking Cabinet ministers in the UK. Priti Patel, the United Kingdom’s current Home Secretary stands as an example of an indomitable spirit and grit, even in the face of a racist, sexist and offensive campaign which has been mounted against her by the Left and its proxies. The British Indian leader has drawn lots of hate from those obsessed with identity politics, as she dents their divisive narratives with her constructive politics.

In the backdrop of a global campaign in support of #BlackLivesMatter, following the death of George Floyd in police custody late last month, the United Kingdom has also been battered by violent protests and thugs who have resorted to criminalities under the garb of anti-racism protests. In the UK, standing like an iron wall, however, between the Left-made anarchy and the breakdown of law and order, is Home Secretary, Priti Patel.

Priti Patel is holding one of the ‘Four Great Offices of State’, that is, the Home office. As such, it is her responsibility to maintain law and order and internal security. Only recently, Priti Patel had taken the floor in the House of Commons and lambasted the opposition Labour Party.

Patel, who took the floor to answer a question which was directed at her, which seemed to probe whether she recognized structural racism and discrimination as prevalent in the UK or not, recalled how she has been facing continued racism in the country herself. Whether it be being called a “Paki” in the playground as a child, or being racially abused on the streets, or even being called a “fat cow with a ring through its nose” by The Guardian newspaper, Priti recalled it all. She then went on to say, “This is hardly an example of respect, equality, tolerance or fairness. So, when it comes to racism, sexism, tolerance for social justice, I will not take lectures from the other side of the House.”

Following Patel recalling her own experiences of racism in the Parliament, dozens of Labour Party MP’s shot off a letter to the Home Secretary, condemning her reply in the House of Commons. The letter, which was sent under the letterhead of MP Naz Shah, expressed “dismay at the way you (Patel) used your heritage and experiences of racism to gaslight the very real racism faced by Black people and communities across the UK.” Further, the letter co-signed by 32 other Labour Party MPs said, “Being a person of colour does not automatically make you an authority on all forms of racism.”

Moreover, London mayor and closet Jihadi, Sadiq Khan defended the MPs for demanding Priti Patel to recognise that racism against the black community was ‘different’, going on to say that she ‘lacked emotional intelligence’.

In a stinging reply to the letter, however, Patel said she was sad to have received the same. Further, she added, “I will not be silenced by (UK Labour) MPs who continue to dismiss the contributions of those who don’t conform to their view of how ethnic minorities should behave.”

Ever since Priti Patel recalled her experiences of blatant racism in the UK, the country’s left-liberals and anti-racism warriors seem to be particularly offended. Patel has been made a talking point on social media, where although many are supporting the Home Secretary, there are also plenty of those deriding her.

Guz Khan, who appears on BBC3 show ‘Man Like Mobeen’, posted a photo of Priti Patel pulling a face with the message: ‘Shall we have a curry for dinner tonight, Priti?’

The extremely racist tweet, incidentally, came from a fellow ‘man of colour’. Many took to the replies section of the said tweet to deride Priti Patel, while others quoted it with all the more racist captions. Priti Patel was called a ‘coconut’, which is a blatantly racist term to describe a person of colour, whose allegiances lie with the ‘whites’.

Meanwhile, Health Secretary Matt Hancock stood in defence of his colleague being made the subject of racial slurs and brazen propaganda. “Of course Priti Patel was not wrong to talk of her personal experiences of racism…I have seen this letter and I abhor this divisive identity politics that’s being levelled at Priti Patel,” Hancock said.

Priti Patel is now answering her detractors in quite the savage manner. Patel is all set to take the thugs running frenzied mobs in London under the garb of anti-racism protests to the cleaners. The Home Secretary is said to literally be reading the Riot Act to officials across the country, further telling them to use their extensive power to ensure restoration of law and order. Further, Patel is pushing for fast-track courts, to ensure that mobsters and thugs are brought to justice within 24 hours. Such a massive crackdown was last seen during the 2011 London riots, and Patel is unapologetic about bringing in the same model to use now.

Among the liberals and leftists of the UK, not to mention their close allies – the Islamists, there seems to be a rather cohesive appreciation for the ongoing violent protests, which include arson and defiling. Priti Patel, the Gujarati Home Secretary of UK, however, is in no mood to let the lawlessness prevail any longer.
