If 2020 Delhi riots is being reported with such blatant anti-Hindu propaganda, imagine the brainwashing about 2002

Imagining what left media was capable of doing all through the 90s and 2000s

The recent Delhi riots that were instigated by the anti-CAA agitations preceding it have once again exposed how the mainstream media and left liberal cabal report on every single incident with a shameful twist in order to pursue their agenda.

As soon as the riots broke out in Delhi or by some measure even as tensions were building up in the concerned areas of the National Capital, the mainstream media went all out in its tirade of demonising the Hindus in a clash that was bilateral.

Without verifying facts, the eltitist media houses labelled single attacker as an RSS goon and every single mob as a Hindutva mob chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Most of their reports were based on hearsay by reporters who are known to harbour a deep sense of anti-Hindu bias.

Leftist portals like Scroll, The Wire, etc. ran their anti-Hindu propaganda by terming the riors an anti-Muslim pogrom while totally ignoring the communalism and chaos initiated and spread by the anti-CAA lobby and the Islamist elements.

Such was the intensity of the mainstream media’s exercise at vilifying Hindus that even the international media termed the riors as an anti-Muslim pogrom.

Not a single report in prominent international media did justice to the riots that wrecked havoc in the streets of Delhi, and while some relied upon utterly biased, one-sided reporting, others like WSJ which had falsely stated that IB officer Ankit Sharma (who was killed by a Muslim mob in Chand Bagh at AAP Corporator Tahir Hussain’s house) was killed by a Hindu mob chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

This is the modern age where people on the social media are very much aware of what goes on the ground level. Therefore, the myths and lies propagated by the mainstream media were effectively countered, debunked and demolished.

Had the social media not gone up in arms against the truly unconscionable and inhumane projection of Delhi riots as simply anti-Muslims riots, the mainstream media would have managed to downplay the role of a gun wielding Shahrukh Khan who had fired eight rounds at Delhi Police and AAP Corporator Tahir Hussain who seems to have been directly involved in the gruesome murder of Ankit Sharma.

This was also the reason why the elitist media was baying for the blood of BJP leader Kapil Mishra whose speeches only they find to be provocative and incendiary while Shahrukh was absconding and Tahir Hussain is still at large.

Even after their biases and prejudices were exposed, the left liberal cabal and the elitist media remained firm on its vicious narrative. Look at this tweet by Javed Akhtar for example criticising the Delhi Police for taking action against Tahir Hussain.

So many killed , so many injured , so many house burned , so many shops looted so many people turned destitutes but police has sealed only one house and looking for his owner . Incidentally his name is Tahir . Hats off to the consistency of the Delhi police .

— Javed Akhtar (@Javedakhtarjadu) February 27, 2020

Also, look at this tweet by Rajdeep Sardesai for instance which tries to downplay the gruesome murder of Ankit Sharma. Sardesai wanted to take attention away from Sharma, who was stabbed 400 times by his murderers and whose intestines were taken out.

35 people have died in riots till now; but for RW Internet army, only Ankit Sharma matters because needle of suspicion is on AAP councillor, Tahir Hussain. The day we seek justice for each and every innocent victim of riots, Hindu or Muslim, we will build a ‘new’ better India!

— Rajdeep Sardesai (@sardesairajdeep) February 27, 2020

Not just downplaying, the mainstream media also perpetrated lies aimed at vilifying Hindus and lending some credence to their anti-Muslim pogrom narrative. NDTV journalist Ravish Kumar, for example, tried to pass off Shahrukh Khan as a Hindu Brahmin, Anurag Mishra.

Astounding how Ravish Kumar can spread such blatant lies, defame an innocent Hindu man and get away with this. @IndEditorsGuild will do NOTHING in this case. pic.twitter.com/ZHu2cXOy3B

Now rewind to 2002 Gujarat riots, and imagine the kind of obfuscation that would have taken place at that time. 2002 was well before the advent of social media in a big way. Those were the days when the printed word and the prime time shows at News channels were still seen as reliable.

Without scrutiny of social media, Barkhas and Rajdeeps still enjoyed the tag of “independent journalists” and they were the only ones covering the Gujarat riots. Maybe this is the reason why the Gulbarg society massacre in which 69 people were killed is still remembered as a gruesome incident, whereas the memories of the ghastly Godhra train carnage has been washed off. In fact, left-liberal media is often seen calling the Godhra train fire an accidental fire and not one caused by an angry mob of over a 1000 people on the train tracks. Some still believe it to be an ‘RSS conspiracy’ till today. The level of propaganda, at the hands of the likes of Rana Ayyub, that social media users are able to see through today, raises questions about how easy it would have been for unchallenged left-dominated media in the 90s and the 2000s to propagate falsities.

Imagine 59 people being burnt to death- 27 of them women and 10 of them children being totally buried under the carpet by the eltitist Lutyens’ media.

Till date fringe elements along with the Queen-Empress of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi call PM Modi ‘maut ka saudagar (Merchant of death)’. 18 years down the line, such nefarious elements still try to portray Union Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Modi as mass murderers. This is the level of obfuscation and agenda ridden reporting that went behind the 2002 Gujarat riots.

If mainstream media could stoop this low in Delhi in 2020, imagine how perfidious they would have been in Gujarat in 2002.
