Former top cop, Rakesh Maria’s newly released autobiography has led to some startling revelations with regards to the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Maria was in charge of the police control room when the dastardly terror attack took place and was also the first police officer to interrogate Ajmal Kasab, the sole surviving Pakistani terrorist of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
His disclosure about the Lashkar-e-Taiba’s (LeT) plans to portray the terror attacks as “Hindu terrorism” have already caused ripples across the country. He revealed that the lone surviving terrorist, Kasab who hailed from Pakistan’s Faridkot was supposed to die as a Hindu terrorist- a Bengaluru resident, Samir Chaudhari with a ‘red thread tied around his wrist’ had things gone according to what Lashkar-e-Taiba had planned.
Now, some more shocking revelations about the dastardly attacks in Mumbai have come out. According to former Mumbai Police Commissioner, Rakesh Maria’s book “Let Me Say It Now”, Ajmal Kasab was of the belief that Indian Muslims were not allowed to offer ‘azaan’ and that all Mosques in India were locked up.
Such was the kind of indoctrination and religious brainwashing in the case of Kasab that when he actually heard the ‘azaan’ daily five times from the police lockup, he actually believed that he was being delusional and that the ‘azaan’ sound was actually just a figment of his imagination.
In order to clear Kasab’s misconceptions, the former Mumbai Police Commissioner even requested one of the investigating officials, Ramesh Mahale, to take him to a mosque near the Metro cinema where the Pakistani terrorist himself witnessed the ongoing ‘Namaaz’.
Maria has further revealed that Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar’s gang was tasked with eliminating Kasab. Both ISI and LeT plotted to get Kasab eliminated in jail so that all evidences linking them to the dastardly terror attacks could be removed.
Kasab’s belief that mosques in India are locked up and that Indian Muslims cannot offer ‘azaan’ shows the level of brainwashing that goes behind the Pakistani terror factories. Pakistan has institutionalised hatred against India and Hindus, and therefore the Islamic Republic propagates such bizarre ideas.
Islamabad misguides its citizens about the conditions of Indian Muslims as a part of its state policy. Pakistani citizens are made to believe that Muslims are treated in India, like Hindus, Sikhs or any other religious minority is treated in Pakistan.
Such Hindu hating mindset that led to Kasab committing ghastly acts in Mumbai is the same kind of brainwashing that also led to Adil Ahmad Dar, the Pulwama suicide attacker, to orchestrate the cowardly attack. In a recorded video, the terrorist had clearly said that his attack was against ‘cow piss drinkers’.
Whether it was Kasab in 2008 or Adil Ahmad Dar in 2019, the modus operandi of Pakistan based/Pakistan sponsored terrorism remains the same. The country foments anti-Hindu sentiment and deliberate misconceptions about Hindus in India.
Even today, Pakistan has continued with similar anti-Hindu propaganda manufacturing myths of mistreatment and persecution of Indian Muslims. And such indoctrination happens not only in the terror factories of Pakistan, but the top political leadership in Islamabad to contributes to such brainwashing. Pakistan Prime Minister, Imran Khan, for instance, has also been spreading fake news and rumours about maltreatment of Muslims in India.
Recently, after the passage of the CAA in India’s Parliament, Khan had tweeted, “India, under Modi, has been moving systematically with its Hindu supremacist agenda. Starting with illegal annexation & continuing siege of IOJK; then stripping 2 mn Indian Muslim in Assam of citizenship, setting up internment camps; now the passage of Citizenship Amendment Law.”

With all the fake news about the Indian Police attacking Muslims, bizarre analogies with the Nazi concentration camps during the Second World War, a make believe Hindu Supremacist agenda of India and alleged bloodshed, Imran Khan has been openly instigating terrorism from Pakistani soil.

Such rumours and speculations only incite the Islamist radicals in the country further. Even after Article 370 abrogation by India, Khan had raised the nuclear bogey in a series of bellicose, anti-India remarks.
It is Pakistan’s political leadership and military leadership that perpetrates its citizenry with myths about mistreatment of Muslims in India that further abets terrorists like Kasab and Adil Ahmad Dar.
Rakesh Maria’s autobiography thus really reveals how Pakistan has in itself become a primarily terror producing entity with the entire state apparatus propagating anti-Hindu myths about false notions of Muslim persecution in India.
