Amid the outbreak of coronavirus throughout China, the countries around world including India are evacuating their citizens for the safety purpose. However, the neighboring country of Pakistan has decided not to evacuate its citizens from the coronavirus hit country to show “solidarity” with its all-weather ally.
“We believe that right now, it is in the interest of our loved ones in China (to stay there). It is in the largest interest of the region, world, country that we don’t evacuate them now,” said Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza.
Pakistan has decided to not evacuate its citizens from the country in accordance with the recommendations of World Health Organization (WHO). “This is what the WHO is saying, this is China’s policy and this is our policy as well. We are standing with China in full solidarity,” he said.
After Pakistan’s decision, the students and citizens of Pakistan in the Chinese city of Wuhan made videos and slammed Pakistani government. A student also called out the ignorance of the Pakistani officials about the recommendations of WHO and the steps the countries around the world are taking to protect their citizens.

The student said that the government should not evacuate the citizens, as Allah will take care of them. Allah takes care of their life in Pakistan, and he will take care in Wuhan too, said the student.
The outbreak of Coronavirus has made China very insecure country, and neighboring countries like Russia are closing their borders. Even in Hong Kong, which is part of China, the citizens are protesting against the city government and asked for complete blockage of border with China.
India has decided to evacuate its citizens despite strong protest Chinese ambassador in New Delhi. Australia, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, NewZeland, South Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom, and United States have evacuated their citizens, reported CNN.
WHO has declared the outbreak of Coronavirus as health emergency yesterday and countries around the world have started evacuating their citizens. More than 200 people have been killed due to virus and more than 4,000 cases have been found. The virus infected people have been found many countries including in India, where a person travelling from China to Kerala was found infected with the virus.
Pakistan’s decision to not evacuate its citizen to show solidarity with China is going to cost the lives of the Pakistani people in China. As per estimates, there are more than 600 Pakistani citizens in Wuhan city alone.
