The removal of SPG protection for the Gandhi family has irked them like never before. On November 4th, the SPG protection of Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi was removed, paving the way for only the Prime Minister to be an SPG protectee in the country. Former Prime Ministers are also entitled to the same for a period of five years after demitting office.
On November 26th, Priyanka Gandhi suffered a ‘security breach’, her office claims. Barely weeks after her SPG cover was removed, a car with five people made its way into her residence, her office stated on Monday. The said group was able to click pictures and ‘selfies’ with Priyanka Vadra. Since yesterday, the Congress has been indulging in fear-mongering with respect to Vadra’s SPG removal.
The BJP has been of the opinion that this was a staged act.
An exclusive report by Times Now validated the same when it was revealed that the people who undertook the ‘security breach’ were Congress workers known to the family.
The report makes sense, as the office of Priyanka Gandhi made the revelation on Monday, although the ‘breach’ took place on 26th November. The revelation by her office was made a day before the SPG Bill was to be tabled in the Rajya Sabha. Further, the vehicle which was involved has been tracked down to Congress loyalists.
Times Now further stated that Priyanka Gandhi knew that the said people were performing this stunt.

Meanwhile, Robert Vadra took to Facebook to pontificate about ‘women’s security’. The man linked the ‘breach’ of her wife’s security to the general public, especially women, who are susceptible to ‘molestation and rape’. These comments came in the backdrop of the horrifying Hyderabad rape case. Yet again, the entitled and elitist folks of the Gandhi-Vadra clan used a case of horrific crime to strengthen their position and political demands. Robert Vadra said: “It’s not about security for Priyanka, my daughter and son, me or Gandhi family. It’s about keeping our citizens, especially the women of our country, safe & feeling secure. Security throughout country is compromised.”

Perhaps, in his wise mind, Robert Vadra is successfully drawing parallels between the Z-Plus security entitled family and the common citizens of India. How he can compare the two is something we are unable to comprehend. Of course, crime throughout the country is a cause of worry, but the common people at least do not stage acts of crime, unlike the Gandhi-Vadra’s. Not only is this a statement which draws a false equivalence between his family and Indians, but it further shows how Congress uses its workers to further their political motives in the cheapest way.
