As Delhi police was trying hard to pacify the violent protest against the CAA, Delhi’s AAP government was busy inciting anger and fear among Muslims to create more chaos, with direct involvement of deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Atishi Marlena in the violent protest by peddling fake news and morphed pictures on social media to appease the mobs and mislead the Muslims.

Manish Sisodia, the first Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, a former journalist with more than two-decade-old career in the field and one of the people to draft the of Right To Information (RTI), had spread fake news brazenly against Delhi police, absolving mobs in Jamia of the violence they carried out. In a tweet, Sisodia alleged that Delhi police itself set the DTC bus on fire, as part of BJP’s dirty politics.

“Look at this photo, look who is setting the bus on fire. This is the biggest proof of BJP’s dirty politics, will its leaders answer” tweeted Sisodia.

ये फ़ोटो देखिए.. देखिए कौन लगा रहा है बसों और कारों में आग.. यह फ़ोटो सबसे बड़ा सबूत है बीजेपी की घटिया राजनीति का… इसका कुछ जवाब देंगे बीजेपी के नेता .. pic.twitter.com/8HvHC8epwn

— Manish Sisodia (@msisodia) December 15, 2019

Later many journalists, including Rahul Kanwal of Indian Today, Raj Shekhar Jha of Times of India, and Aditya Raj Kaul, pointed out that- “This is fake news”.

“Folks like @msisodia need to be careful about what they tweet. Delhi’s Dy CM alleged Delhi Police officials were setting buses on fire. The bus which Delhi Police supposedly set on fire is safe in the yard. Situation is already volatile. Netas shouldn’t be spreading fake news,” tweeted Rahul Kanwal.

Fake news doing rounds that Delhi Police was pouring fuel over buses near Jamia. Don't be so stupid to believe such insane trash. Cops were trying to get water to douse fire inside the bus before the entire bus could catche fire. Kindly don't share fake news. Verify.

Manish Sisodia is trying to malign the image of Delhi Police, that too through fake news, just because it is under the authority of Central government. On such a sensitive matter, which could lead to violence, or even riots, the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi I busy in playing dirty politics.

At a time when every sensible politician, including those in opposition, are trying to pacify the mob and have appealed to people to stay calm and not resort to violence, the politicians from AAP is trying to instigate people against Delhi Police.

Delhi BJP chief Manjo Tiwari and South Delhi BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri have lodged FIR against Mr Sisodia, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and other party leaders of “hatching criminal conspiracy” and “inciting violence”.

Many officers of Delhi Police were seriously injured in an effort to control the situation around Jamia Milia Islamia and, instead of applauding them for the strenuous effort; people like Manish Sisodia blamed them.

In order to appease to Muslim vote bank, the politicians from AAP are trying to scapegoat Delhi Police for the violence by ‘peaceful protestors’, who set the buses on fire.

In the assembly election-2020, the AAP aims to make National Registrar of Citizens (NRC) as its weapon to malign BJP, which poses main opposition to the party.

The party is spreading the fake news that ‘if NRC is implemented, the people from UP & Bihar would have to leave Delhi’. The people from UP and Bihar voted in huge numbers for AAP in the last election, given its populist promises of free electricity, water, education, and health. The party has not been able to deliver on these promises and fears losing its most loyal vote bank.

There are many other parties like- Congress, Trinamool Congress, CPI(M), which have opposed the implementation of NRC but- these parties are fighting at the ideological level, instead of trying to create confusion among the common citizens of the country, over such important legislation of National Interest. Only AAP has stooped so low!

The politicians like Manish Sisodia, Amanatullah Khan, and Atishi Marlena, who swear to ‘clean politics’ and end corruption, behave like irresponsible trolls on social media.

Just to win the votes of Muslims and Purvanchalis, who were its major vote bank in the last assembly election but expected ditch the party in the upcoming election as it has not delivered on the populist promises, the party is resorting to fake news and fear psychosis.
