As the foot soldiers of radical Islamist ideology along with their infiltrators’ brethren burn down West Bengal, the Mamata Banerjee administration has realized that they have been nurturing a snake which now is biting the very protectors of it, as she did everything to protect the illegal infiltrators and to appease the Muslim votebank.
In the name of protesting against CAB and NRC, Muslim mobs have ravaged the state’s properties with torching vehicles, trains, ransacking buildings and fracturing the law and order of the state. Instead of taking action on them, senior State Minister and Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim has urged them not to strengthen the BJP by fomenting ‘lawlessness’.
Firhad Hakim’s statement is an admittance of the fact that Muslim minorities including illegal immigrants from Bangladesh have resorted to unprecedented unjustifiable violence by burning the stations, busses, trains, pelting stones and beating up the Hindus. Hakim, the urban development minister said that such violent protests will not help the state but will only strengthen the hands of the BJP. “It is our duty as citizens of the country to protect the Indian Constitution and not to indulge in lawlessness,” he added.
In his desperation to control his own community-men, Hakim has been quoted as saying that if 70 per cent of the Hindus start supporting Home Minister Amit Shah because of the ongoing violence in the state, then the mobs won’t be able to walk on the streets. He said that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has already stated that protests are justified but should be carried out in a democratic manner, and not by blocking trains, vehicular movements or setting public property on fire.
It is quite clear from his statement that he has admitted the fact that the infiltrators with the open support of local Muslim community is behind the huge loss of state’s property, even the sky was covered with black fumes from burning vehicles and tyres with rampaging mobs armed with rods and sticks laying siege on stations and highways. The Muslim mob has tried everything to terrorize the Hindus of Bengal with the tremendous support of TMC government.

Mamata Banerjee led-state government which has been a long-time pursuer of Muslim appeasement has realized now that she has been patting the snake which is now biting its own mentor. The radicals which were fiercely being supported by Mamata Banerjee have shown their real face. She has appeased them in a perfect manner but she had failed to realize that the Islamists would be very difficult to control, this kind of rampage and violent protests are an eye-opener for her as well as to other leaders who nurture this ideology. The silence of the left-liberal regarding the rampage of the Muslim community is hypocritical, the liberals, who champion themselves in Gandhi’s Ahimsa, have not uttered a single word over the violent protests in Bengal.
