“I will officially become Muslim” Harsh Mander, man behind HT’s biased hate crime watch threatens government

Go right ahead sir

Coming out of the closet, noted pseudo-secular Harsh Mander has announced that he would become a Muslim if the Lok Sabha passes the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Now as the Lok Sabha has passed the bill, people on Twitter went crazy over the childish threat of Mander demanding him to turn Muslim as soon as possible. Taking to Twitter, Harsh Mander said that as part of his ‘civil disobedience’ he will officially register himself as a Muslim (as against conversion, we wonder how that would work) if the CAB is passed, only Mander has the guts to do this sort of bizarre activism.

If CAB is passed, this is my civil disobedience:
I will officially register Muslim. I will then refuse to submit any documents to NRC. I will finally demand the same punishment as any undocumented Muslim- detention centre & withdrawn citizenship.
Join this civil disobedience

He is saying this only because he knows that the bill is not against Indian muslims. If he really wants to protest then he should officially register as a pakistani, and then refuse to submit documents. https://t.co/KaVCyOV7wE

Mander is a well known anti-Hindu and anti-India intellectual, he was a member of the Sonia Gandhi’s kitchen cabinet known as ‘National Advisory Council,’ the extra-constitutional body to give sermons to the UPA government led by Manmohan Singh. Mander has been an open and loud supporter of the Muslims, with the draconian and Anti-Hindu Communal Violence Bill being his brainchild, Mander has left no stones unturned to demonize the Hindu community.

People of the country must be reminded of Prevention of Communal and Targeted Violence (Access to Justice and Reparations) Bill, 2011 during these times when every liberal is crying that CAB is communal.

This bill could have enhanced the number of incidents relating to communal violence and through this, the majority community could be punished and humiliated, but also have destroyed the foundations of our federal structure. It is surprising why an unelected and extra-constitutional body like the National Advisory Council (NAC), which is home to Sonia Gandhi groupies, was allowed to draft a Bill that was in their terms ‘crucial to communal harmony’. Mander along with his several liberal buddies such as Irfan Habib, who wrote history liberally, claimed in the review petition filed against the Ayodhya verdict in the Supreme Court, that the existence of the Babri Masjid is a fact that has been historically documented while the existence of the Hindu temple on which the Babri Masjid was built is merely a belief of the Hindus. With his Karwan-e-mohabbat farce, Mander has all the reason to become a Muslim, as he seems to be deeply attached by Islamic theology. Surprisingly, He has been allegedly receiving a huge chunk of funds from the Islamic and missionary organisations may be for doing this kind of bizarre activism.

Took monies over 10 crores to run his deceptively titled 'Centre for Equity Studies' from Danish National Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Now settting his sight for new source of funding by such posturing? https://t.co/kcbu737ppz

Mander who aspires to become champion of the minorities had previously worked in the Indian Administrative Service, serving in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh for almost two decades. He was the Additional Collector of Indore during 1984 anti-Sikh riots after Indira Gandhi’s assassination. Indore, along with Jabalpur and Bilaspur were worst affected cities in Madhya Pradesh during the riots as Congress workers went on a rampage targeting Sikh community.

In a major show of hypocrisy, Mander after 22 years in service, he officially quit the IAS claiming that he was troubled by the post-Godhra riots in Gujarat. He, however, was handpicked as a member of National Advisory Council by the council President Sonia Gandhi in June 2010.

Harsh Mander was also a contributor to controversial ‘Indiaspend’s hate tracker, which was singlehandedly exposed by woman journalist Swati Goel Sharma. Sharma exposed the biases of the tracker and how it was being used by the left-liberals. Even the American daily Washington Post had carried a report on its website that cites data by Indiaspend to incorrectly say that “reports of religious-based hate-crime cases have spiked in India since the pro-Hindu nationalist government of Narendra Modi came to power in 2014”.

Just a reminder: He was one of the minds behind the Factchecker hate crime database https://t.co/AMWp7GmcUg

— Swati Goel Sharma (@swati_gs) December 10, 2019

However, after Swati Goel Sharma heroically exposed the bias and agenda of HT’s discredited Hate Crime Watch, it was taken down by the website, though the portal did not officially announce it, it has also pulled down its other database on ‘cow-related violence in India’ that was available at lynch.factchecker.in. This database was quoted by liberal- advocate Indira Jaisingh in an affidavit to the Supreme Court in 2018 for a petition to crackdown on so-called cow vigilantes.

This database had also been cited by several left-leaning and far-left Indian and foreign publications in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, thanks to Harsh Mander along with his buddies. It was used to make the claim that in the five years of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government from 2014 to 2019, hate crimes against Muslims soared in India. The database claimed that 90 per cent of religious hate crimes in the last decade occurred since Narendra Modi came to power.
