In Murshidabad, a Muslim majority district in West Bengal, three members of a Hindu family have been brutally murdered. 35 year old Bandhu Prakash Pal who was a school teacher and RSS worker, his 8 months pregnant wife Beauty Pal, 28 and their 6 year old son Angan Pal lived in Jiaganj locality of Murshidabad. The murderer(s) stabbed and bludgeoned the couple with sharp edged weapons while their son was strangled to death with a towel.
“Locals told us that Prakash Pal was last seen at 11 am on Tuesday, when he was returning from the local market. Within an hour, the three of the family were found dead,” said the police officer of Murshidabad municipality who is involved in the investigation. The police have registered the case of murder but is yet to find the murderer(s).
The Pal family had moved to Jiaganj in Murshidabad 6 years ago. He was a devout Hindu, an RSS worker, and to visited Durga Puja Pandal everyday of the festival but when the locals did not find the family at the Pandal on the final day, that is, Vijayadashmi, they went to his home to look for him. But, the door was locked from inside.
“The locals then informed the police and the bodies, lying in a pool of blood, were recovered. An investigation has been initiated in the case,” said an officer.
The gruesome murders that ended a beautiful family of three can shock the conscience of the whole country but left-liberal media and intellectuals feel discomfort in outraging over this as the victims were an RSS worker and his family.

Bandhu Prakash and his family were seen actively participating in Durga Puja celebrations through pictures uploaded by the father on Facebook to share their merriment during the festive season. Grief stricken friends and colleagues have taken to Facebook to express their anguish.
West Bengal has hit maddening levels of lawlessness and there is zero accountability expected on the part of Mamata Banerjee’s government. There is a valid fear that justice could be denied to the murdered family as the corrupt machinery of West Bengal may attempt to ‘secularise’ it or brush it under the carpet as it is suspected to be a political murder. The killing of BJP/RSS workers in West Bengal has become a ritual since the party became a serious contender to Mamata Banerjee’s rule. TMC goons seem to be on killing spree of BJP/RSS workers. Mamata Banerjee and her party supporters’ authoritarian streak were on full swing since the West Bengal Panchayat elections. It seems that not much has changed since then. The dead body of one more BJP worker was found from the lake in Shaktipur village of Murshidabad district. 54 years old, Dharmaraj Hazra’s body was recovered from the lake with his hands and feet tied with a rope.
Two-thirds of the population of Bangladesh is Muslim and Hindus residing in Muslim majority district have been under attack since time immemorial. But the atrocities on Hindus, especially those associated with BJP/RSS, increased under Mamata Banerjee’s tyrannical rule.
These regular killings of the BJP/RSS workers are a message to the BJP to stop trying to make inroads into West Bengal but more than that it is a message to the people of the state to deter them from going against the ruling party and joining in the rising presence of BJP in West Bengal.
Democracy is dying a silent death in West-Bengal every day but media and intelligentsia is just a mute spectator to this silent death and marching towards totalitarianism. Before it gets too late, the Bengali people should unite against the tyrannical TMC government of Mamata Banerjee otherwise no one would be left to speak for them.
The people of Bengal can put an end to the lawless tyrannical rule of TMC and Mamata Banerjee also knows it. This is why the goons of TMC are killing the BJP workers of Bengal. It’s not just the BJP/RSS workers who are being killed, it is the people of Bengal who are paying the price for opposing a tyrannical regime. TMC is not only against the BJP but also against the people of West Bengal. If West Bengal can bring three decades of communist rule to an end, then they can also do the same with the lawless TMC rule.
