To fulfill its agenda of polarizing and communalizing the people, Mamata Banerjee led TMC has now decided to brainwash the school-going children. It has come to light that school-going children were asked to comment on the politically sensitive topics of ‘Jai Shree Ram’ and “cut money”.
In Trinamool Congress panchayat leader Nirmal Ghosh’s associated school in Polba, students while taking the pre-board examination were shocked when they received their question papers. The students were asked to write a report on the most politically sensitive topics in Bengal right now, ‘Jai Shree Ram’ and its negative impact on society and how the campaign for refunding “cut money” can stop corruption.
The students, perturbed and rightly so, were in a fix as to whether they should be candid or go by the government’s perception on this. Knowing Mamata Banerjee and her tyrant rule in the state, most of the students skipped the question.
However, those few who did attempt it were extremely bothered as to the authority’s reaction on it. They brought it to the notice of the headmaster just as when the examination was getting over. The headmaster, to his credit, assured the students that they will all get full marks irrespective of whether they answered the question or not.
Nirmal Ghosh apologised and said that he would enquire into the matter. Meanwhile, even the Bengali teacher apologised.
In light of this, BJP’s district organisation president Subir Nag has dubbed it as a deliberate move to confuse the young minds. The saffron party is also planning to submit a memorandum seeking an explanation as to how the school authorities could allow such a question paper to be printed without basic inspection.
The ‘Jai Shree Ram’ slogan and the whole refunding cut money debate has reached new heights in the state, especially in the Hooghly region with posters coming up against Trinamool Congress ministers.
Last month, the TMC ministers were under a lot of flak for admitting having received cut money from the benefits of every scheme extended to the citizens.
Before that, TMC leader Mamata Banerjee was under a lot of criticism for detaining citizens chanting the “Jai Shri Ram” slogan. She was heard telling the slogan chanters, “What do you think of yourself? You will come from other states, stay here and abuse us? I will not tolerate this. How dare you all abuse me? All of your names and details will be noted down.”
Such a blatant politicized question paper was just another one of TMC’s attempts to subtly engage the students in politics and to brainwash them. Students undergoing pre-board exams are already quite stressed. They definitely don’t need the added pressure of the tyrant government along with this.
