A controversy erupted during the promotion of ‘Judgemental Hai Kya?’ when Kangana Ranaut refused to take questions from one Justin Rao who happens to be a journalist. Justin Rao had earlier made fun of Kangana’s personality and her selection of films, due to which Kangna did not like his being present at the conference.
Kangana fired at Justin Rao, she said, “Why is your thinking so cheap? How can you criticize Manikarnika without any basis? Did I make a mistake by making the film? How can you say that I am an extremist woman who is making a very nationalist movie?” Justin Rao had indeed on many occasions, mocked Kangana, Manikarnika and the fact that it was a nationalistic movie.
However, as Kangana spoke her mind, the left-liberal brigade got very irked. The Entertainment Journalists’ Guild of India ordered Kangana to apologize and in the event of not doing so, threatened her with complete abandonment. Ekta Kapoor, the creator of ‘Judgmental Hai Kya’, had to come forward and apologize for this incident. Controversial journalist Prashant Kanojia stepped in and he didn’t just support the guild’s demand but also resorted to uncivil language against Kangana and her sister Rangoli on Twitter.
But instead of bowing to the journalists, Kangana Ranaut took the matter in her hands and went full right-wing. In a video, she first made it clear that she only complained about a particular section of the media, who, like ‘termites’, was gnawing at the country’s sovereignty and integrity.
According to Kangana, “A section of the media is like termites of the country that keeps attacking the country’s dignity and integrity. They brazenly put forward their filthy, crappy and sedentary thoughts before everyone and our Constitution does not have any penalties for them. This cheap media, which calls itself liberal is pseudo-liberal, and they are not even secular. Had they been really secular, they wouldn’t have attacked just one religious belief and religious symbols over and over again.”
Not only that, Kangana further said, “Is there a journalism standard that you follow? Why do you call yourself journalists, why are you journalists, no will ever answer these questions? These people threaten me by saying that they will not cover me, will ruin my career. I don’t need lakhs of rupees to buy you people, you are so cheap that only 50-60 rupees will be enough. You, who betray their country, makes holes in the very plate that serves them? You rascals cannot ruin me”
Kangana didn’t just pan the left-liberal intellectuals and journalists for their narrow mindsets but also highlighted their dark side in front of everyone. It wasn’t very long back that the Left-Liberal Gang gave political colors to the Akhlak case and many more cases like it.
From supporting the Award Wapsi gang to hailing the Tukde Tukde gang, to questioning the intent behind the surgical strikes and the airstrikes, our left-liberals have never shown any hesitation in supporting treason and have gone out of their ways to finish those who dare take a discordant line, like the Phogat sisters in the Gurmehar Kaur case, or even the famous actor R. Madhavan.
Kangana Ranaut has proved by her behavior that she is not the one who will be bullied so easily by the left-liberals and she will keep taking on such pseudo journos in the future too.
