If you thought the idea to recreate the heroic reconstruction of the Bhuj airbase during the 1971 Indo Pak war on the silver screen was overwhelming enough, here’s another delightful surprise. T-Series owner and producer Bhushan Kumar along with the co-producers of the 2017 hit ‘Tumhari Sulu’ has agreed to back another project on an unsung victory of the Indian Navy.
Famous trade analyst cum film critic Taran Adarsh posted the news of the same on his Twitter timeline:

The untitled project, which shall be directed by famous ad maker Rajneesh Ghai and produced by T-Series, shall focus on Operation Trishul or Operation Trident. Sensing a major threat to the coastal towns of western India, the Indian Navy, alerted by the Pakistani attacks on Indian airfields, decided to launch a counter-attack on the Karachi port, which was also the headquarters of the Pakistan Navy.
Uri: The Surgical Strike brought forward the Indian Army’s daring operation to the Indian audience following the dastardly terror attack on Indian Army camp in Uri, Jammu and Kashmir. Elite para commandos of the Indian Army went across the Line of Control and conducted one of the most daring operations of the Indian Army destroying terror launchpads in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. Now the Indian Navy’s biggest victory is set to be shown on the silver screen.
On the night of 4th December 1971, the same night as the one where Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri along with his small company of 120 soldiers were fighting the iconic Battle of Longewala, a major fleet comprising three Vidyut class missile boats, two Arnala class anti-submarine Corvettes, and a fleet tanker set out for the Karachi naval base.
Led by Commander Babru Bhan Yadav, the Karachi Strike Group pummeled their Pakistani naval counterparts badly, not only destroying the naval base but also destroyed three major battle class destroyers of the Pakistan Navy. One naval destroyer was so badly damaged, that it was ultimately sent to the scrapyard. This was not all, the fuel storage tanks on the Karachi Harbor were reduced to smoke.
Since the Indian side suffered no casualty at all, this historic day is celebrated as Navy Day in our nation. For his heroic actions, Commander Babru Bhan Yadav along with officers like Lieutenant Commander Bahadur Nariman Lavina, Lieutenant Commander Inderjit Sharma and Lieutenant Commander Om Prakash Sharma, etc were awarded Vir Chakra, India’s third highest gallantry award.
Sadly, however, this huge victory was deliberately hidden from us by the left-liberal intelligentsia, and it is a matter of honour that people like Bhushan Kumar are ensuring that such unsung victories are brought forward to the Indian audience. Apart from the much-awaited biopic ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’, this film is something every Indian will eagerly vouch for.
