Recently the main stream media was filed with controversies about the citizenship of prominent people across the country. One of the most frequently heard name was that of Akshay Kumar. The Bollywood star claimed to have a Canadian passport. Akshay, who recently took a candid interview of Narendra Modi, once told Times Now that he was an honorary citizen of Canada.

Since his interview with Narendra Modi, Akshay has been miserably trolled by the left liberal cabal. He was questioned about his absence from the polling booth, despite telling the main stream media that he owns a Canadian citizenship. It is well understood that one cannot vote if one carries a passport and holds a citizenship of another country other than India. In 2017, Akshay had revealed to Times Now, during the promotions of ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ that he has been bestowed with an honorary citizenship by the Canadian Government, and hence, he carries the Canadian citizenship.
He said, “About the Canadian thing, I am an honorary citizen. I’ve been given an honorary thing. I think it’s a thing that people should be proud about. I have an honorary doctorate also but I am not a doctor. So this is what people have to understand.” Since his interview with PM Modi, Akshay has become a soft target for the left liberal journalist.
They have now started questioning the actor’s dedication and loyalty towards his country. The actor took to twitter for his justification after continuous trolling and unacceptable comments of the liberal brigade. The so called liberal main stream media had nothing to do with Akshay Kumar until he chose to interview PM Modi.
Liberal media and its flag bearers left no stone unturned to declare the non-political interview as election propaganda. Journalists like Ravish Kumar mocked the interview and proved that it was a PR stunt by the Prime Minister.
Akshay Kumar said that he loves the country and is dedicated to its growth. He mentioned that India is his country and that he fulfils all the duties under the country’s doctrine. He is a dutiful citizen and there is no need for him to prove his love for the country to anyone. Akshay Kumar has made many patriotic movies like Airlift, Holiday and the most recent is Kesari.
The left liberals now want testimonies from people of their love and support for their motherland. While journalists like Sagarika Ghose claim to be highly intellectual liberal, they fail to even understand the basic constitutional structure of elections. Such journalists then have the audacity to ask people to prove their loyalty for the country. Alia Bhatt, who is from the same industry, is never questioned despite having a British passport. Her mother Soni Razdan has made condescending statements which the main stream media turned a deaf year to. Liberal brigade did not point any fingers on Alia but chose to drag Akshay’s citizenship time and again. The sheer hypocrisy in the liberal media is highly disgraceful.
