Russia and India always had good ties. The commitment to strong leadership is what makes both the country special and good friends. Under the leadership of Modi, India has achieved rapid development. Similarly, Putin has made rapid strides to make Russia a leading superpower.
This is not the first time that the PM Modi has been honored beyond the boundaries of India. In April this year, the UAE government had conferred the Zayed Medal on the Prime Minister. The Zayed Medal is the highest decoration of the UAE awarded to kings, presidents, and heads of states. This is to appreciate the efforts of the leader in strengthening the ties between India and UAE.
On January 14, 2019, PM Modi was awarded the first ever Philip Kotler Presidential Award. The award is granted for the outstanding leadership for the nation. It was under Modi leadership that India is now identified as the Centre for Innovation and Value Added Manufacturing (through Make in India initiative). The citation had mentioned important initiatives such as Make in India, Start-up India and Swachh Bharat which has positioned India as one of the lucrative destinations for manufacturing and business.
The Seoul Peace Prize, 2018 was given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “Modinomics” The Committee recognized Modi’s contribution in the growth of India and global economies. They appreciated the concept of Modinomics to reduce the disparities between rich and poor. PM Modi became the 14th recipient of this coveted award. The Seoul Prize was established in 1990 in South Korea.
PM Modi was honored with the UN Champions of Earth Award 2018 on September 26, 2018. It is highest environmental honor of the United Nations. Prime Minister Modi was selected in the leadership category for his pioneering work in championing the International Solar Alliance, a global partnership to scale up solar energy. The award was founded in 2005.
The achievements of the country’s Prime Minister also included laurels from the state of Palestine. Modi was given the Grand Collar of the state of Palestine on February 10th 2018 by the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for his contribution towards relationship between India and Palestine.
