The pseudo-liberal journalist nexus has been fighting for its survival, after being continuously exposed by citizens on various digital platforms. Traditional media in India has historically been dominated by a group of select elites, result of a perpetual quid pro quo within the industry and the Indian government, which prevented people with an unbiased and independent view to contribute to major part of the news.
However even after being continuously exposed, the nexus is still not ready for course correction. N Ram, a noted senior journalist, in this respect, has been called out once again. In an article published In the Hindu, N Ram has leveled several allegations on the on the Rafael fighter jet deal. In the article titled ‘Rafale: Modi govt. gave unprecedented waivers in offset agreements’ Published on 9th April 2019, N Ram had raised questions on different aspects of the deal. However, Ministry of Defence, taking a proactive stance on the issue, issued a point by point rebuttal on N Rams claims, basically deconstructed his arguments and completely exposed the hidden agenda behind the controversial article. The Ministry of Defence, in their response to the details provided by N Ram, has exposed his intent behind this shoddy ‘media investigation and trial.’ “The author is deliberately concealing this information from the public to sensationalize the issue”, read the response from Ministry of Defence.
The response, which basically demolished The Hindu and its Editor-in-chief for their unethical conduct, also concluded, “The Hindu Is bringing out selective issues in a piecemeal manner to sensationalize the Rafael aircraft procurement and mislead the public.”

N Ram has been repeatedly called out for his ‘yellow journalism’, where facts are cut short to suit a certain narrative. He was also called out for propagating white lies regarding the Rafale fighter jet deal earlier. The left liberal Lutyens media has been critical of nationalist forces debunking the false narratives and exposing the reality. With the advent of social media, the monopoly of these elite journalists got dissipated as millions of Indians started voicing their opinions through several platforms, which didn’t go down well with the pseudo liberal ecosystem. Presenting facts in a morphed manner to peddle agenda speaks volumes about the level of ethics that exists in Left –liberal journalism circles. Many users, over different digital platforms, also indicated that N Ram’s report on Rafael might be a distraction tool to take the spotlight away from the IT raids in Madhya Pradesh where loads of unaccounted cash has been recovered from people related to Chief Minister Kamal Nath.
This culture of quid pro quo, between the left pseudo-liberal journalists and Congress, has put the ethics in journalism on the back burner in a quest to peddle white lies in the name of ‘neutral’ journalism. This step by MOD to expose this biased and morphed article is surely a step in forward direction and a stern warning for the pseudo-liberal gang that they should mend their ways or face the wrath of citizens. People are no longer bound to see the world through the lens of these elite journalists and they are empowered enough to call them out on every occasion.
