A parody video of The Frustrated Indian (TFI) Facebook page regarding the tussle going on between the combined opposition is going viral. The two-part video shows the cracks in Mahagathbandhan, which occures owing to the egos of competing politicians desperately trying to come together against PM Narendra Modi and their continued failure in doing so. The videos have gone viral and have been covered by mainstream media outlets such as Indian Express. Prominent twitter handles such Anjana Om Kashyap and MJ Akbar have also retweeted the video.

In her tweet, Aaj Tak journalist wrote, “A Modi opponent sent me the video saying, impressed by BJP for the first time. The Congress released the 2nd list of candidates, teasing the SP-BSP. Priyanka went on to meet the Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad. The angry Mayawati party is saying that she won’t even leave Amethi-Raebareli. It is the opposition who is impressing”.

The video starts with the Congress President Rahul Gandhi making a WhatsApp group called “Maha Gathbandhan” and adding major potential coalition leaders including Mamata Banerjee, Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav, MK Stalin, HD Kumaraswamy, Sharad Pawar and Chandrababu Naidu. The seat sharing equation and PM candidature is the central issue of the discussion.
As the leaders go back and forth over the agenda of the alliance, Mamata adds other leaders including K Chandrasekar Rao, Naveen Patnaik, Panneerselvam and Palaniswami into the conversation, but they immediately exit the WhatsApp group. Meanwhile, Rahul pleads with Mamata, “don’t add any more members without asking me”.
An angry Mamata hits back saying, “Who are you? Why should I follow your orders”? With no consensus on the PM nominee already, Samajwadi Patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav jumps in the fray and is made group admin by Mamata. He then goes on to add his brother Shivpal Yadav who brings more chaos to the Mahagathbandhan group.
Eventually, the Mahagathbandhan WhatsApp group gets hijacked by the Samajwadi Patriarch, Mulayam Singh Yadav who “adds” BJP President Amit Shah and changes its name to BJP 400+.
