In an interesting move, the digital channel Eros Now is all set to launch an iconic web series, which will release next month. Directed by Umesh Shukla, who has memorable hits like OMG – Oh My God and 102 Not Out to his credit, the web series is based on none other than our incumbent PM and iconic BJP leader, Shri Narendra Modi.
Titled ‘Modi’, this is a 10 part web series that will cover the entire life of PM Modi, from his humble days as a tea seller to his current stature as PM. Faisal Khan, Ashish Sharma and Mahesh Thakur have been confirmed to essay the titular role, thereby covering the different stages in the life of PM Modi. The series will be jointly produced by Eros Now and Benchmark Pictures.

It was lovely to take on a project which came with a responsibility to narrate the life of the leader of new India and I am sure each episode of the 10-part original series will be a revelation for the audiences. His growing-up years, brave decisions and roles at different phases of life make for an incredible story.”
Chief Content Officer of Eros Group, Ridhima Lulla, explained the intent behind producing this web series. To quote her, “Modi’ is one of our really exciting projects. Our attempt through this biopic is to tell the story of Modi’s struggle, ambition, intensity and success and how it not only inspires many but is one of the factors of his mass appeal. We are certain that the audience will love to watch the different facets of their enigmatic leader.”
Moreover, this is not the first time that PM Modi has been essayed on the screen. Only a couple of months ago, Rajit Kapur had surprised one and all with his subtle, yet confident portrayal of PM Modi in the much famous blockbuster ‘Uri – the Surgical Strike.’ Apart from the brilliant portrayals of the lead star cast, it was Rajit Kapur’s portrayal of PM Modi, that earned applause from one and all.
This is not all. Actor Vivek Oberoi is all set to portray PM Modi in the Omung Kumar directed ‘PM Narendra Modi’. According to some reports, actor cum MP Paresh Rawal is also working on a similar project. It would be interesting to see as to what aspects of Modi’s personal life is covered in the same, and we hope that the makers of ‘Modi’ do full justice to the charismatic personality of our incumbent PM.
