According to various media reports, after Pakistan initiated heavy firing along the Line of Control (LoC), the Indian Army in a befitting response destroyed five forward posts of the terrorist nation, Pakistan.
According to AIR, a Defence spokesperson said that Pakistani troops stooped to indiscriminate firing and shelling with heavy calibre weapons in 12 to 15 places in the twin border districts, Rajouri and Poonch.
The Defence PRO said, “The Indian Army retaliated for effect and our focused fire resulted in severe destruction to five posts and number of casualties to Pak army (along LoC in Rajouri and Poonch districts).” However, in the exchange of fire, five Indian soldiers also suffered minor injuries. Two of them were admitted to Military Hospital and now their condition is stable.
News reports suggest that the Pakistani troops were also seen firing mortars and missiles from civilian houses, using villagers as human shields.
On the other hand, the Indian Army followed ethics and targeted only those Pakistani posts located away from civilian areas. The PRO said that this resulted in a “number of casualties” to Pak troopers. India always follows the principles of war.
In view of heightened tension between India and Pakistan, the district administrations of Rajouri and Poonch sector have ordered the closure of all schools located within five kilometres from LoC.
The tension has heightened up along the LoC and the international border. It clearly shows that Pakistan is rattled and frustrated after the air strike carried out by the Indian Air Force. After 12 days of the cowardly attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama, the Indian Air Force took fitting revenge for the same. The Indian Air Force reportedly dropped around 1000 kg bombs on the Jaish-e-Mohammed camps in the wee hours on Tuesday. The air strike was carried out in three locations, one of them being across the LoC in Balakot, Pakistan. The air-strike conducted by the Indian Air Force was the first wave of pre-emptive non-military action by India. The rogue nation was taken by surprise and the IAF bombed their terror camps heavily. It also exposed Pakistan’s incompetent air defence.
According to CNN News 18, the decision to strike back in Pakistan was taken by PM Modi himself. The decision of the air strike by PM Modi was taken after the terror attack in Pulwama on 14 February.
