In the wake of the Pulwama attack, action taken by the Indian Air Force on Pakistan’s terrorist bases was praised by various nations. The international media’s reaction has also been seen in its positive stance regarding the air strikes. Even Pakistan’s close ally, China had supported India in this matte. In its report, Chinese state-owned media stated that many countries are in support of India and the current situation can be handled by the Modi government.

  1. South China Morning Post: Many terrorists, their trainers and many big commanders were killed

The newspaper wrote that India’s air strike has killed a large number of terrorists preparing for a fidayeen attack. On the other hand, Pakistan has blamed the air-space violation on Indian fighter aircrafts. The South China Morning Post wrote on behalf of the Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale that action was taken on Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camps. The newspaper wrote that many terrorists, their trainers and many big commanders of the Jaish-e-Mohammad have been killed in the operation.

  1. Chinese government media: successful operation of India

China’s government media China Daily said in reference to Pakistan that Indian carriers have crossed the LoC. At the same time, China’s government news agency Xinhua wrote on behalf of Indian Army sources that India took 20 minutes air operations and the operation was successful.

  1. Al Jazeera: India Launches Air Attack on Pakistani Territory

On the Air Strike by India, Al Jazeera wrote that in this way India has given strong signal to Pakistan. Al Jazeera said that this attack was expected because there was a lot of pressure on the Indian government after the Pulwama attack. Al Jazeera also wrote that this attack would have happened much early if Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia was not on the tour to India. Everyone knew that something is going to happen soon.

  1. Gulf News: Pak cannot even answer with counter action

On the Air Strike of India, Gulf News wrote, The Pakistani army had earlier believed that the Indian aircraft has dropped four bombs in its area. However, later Pakistan did not give much consideration to India’s action. At the same time, the situation suggests that Pakistan will not be able to retaliate, because India’s position on the international level is strong. With this attack, India has told the world that if its soldiers are attacked then it will not be silent.

  1. The New York Times: Both countries still leave the scope for reducing stress

The American newspaper, The New York Times wrote on India’s Air Strike that for the first time in five decades, Indian Air Force has crossed the airspace and entered Pakistan. Indo-Pak usually fires on LoC, but this time an air strike has happened. It seems that the current situation is worsening rather than improving, if both countries’ reaction isn’t to exercise restraint then this crisis will become more serious. However, the two countries have still left the scope for reducing stress.

  1. Washington Post: The existing conflict will not be transformed into a situation like war.

The Washington Post, the second US newspaper, wrote, after the 1971 war, India has sent its fighter aircraft across the LoC for the first time. Earlier this kind of tension between the two countries occurred during the 1999 Kargil war. India says its attack was not on the Pakistani army, but its target was the Terror Camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed. It can be said that the existing conflict will not be transformed into a situation like war. America has been supporting India since the Pulwama attack. Two days after the attack, US National Security Advisor John Bolton had said that India has the right to self-defense. At the same time, US President Donald Trump also said that India is thinking about some strong move.

  1. The Guardian: Pakistan will get expensive war

The British newspaper wrote in this news, after 1971, India has crossed the LoC for the first time. But Pakistan claims that there is no harm to it. The newspaper writes that India has said that it has carried out air strikes on the training camps of terrorists in Pakistan across the border. A massive celebration was organized in India on this attack. With this action of India, it must have definitely helped to calm the anger of the people after the Pulwama attack. At the same time, The Guardian mentioned a comment of Khalid Shah of the Observer Research Foundation that if Pakistan jumps in war, the game will change and it will be a economical war for them. All in all their reaction was balanced.

  1. Global Times- Modi Government can handle the situation

Global Times reaction was positive, it said that after this air strike many big countries are with India and this situation can be handled by the Modi government. It wrote that America, Britain, France, Germany and Australia are standing with India. If India did something further, then the military conflict between India and Pakistan will reach the highest level. The newspaper wrote that handling this situation is now only in the hands of the Modi government.

In this way newspapers from around the world have appreciated this move of India and have shown Prime Minister Modi as a strong leader. Foreign media is also assessing that many terrorists, their trainers and masterminds have been killed in this air strike in Pakistan, while there are many people in their country who are raising questions about the number of air strikes and deaths. Such people should definitely see the coverage and reaction of foreign media and should feel a little overwhelmed by it.
