Yesterday, in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir, 44 jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force lost their lives. At that point of time, there were about 2500 CRPF Jawans in 78 trucks in the convoy when a vehicle loaded with explosives rammed into one of the trucks carrying soldiers. Jaish-e-Mohammed, a terrorist group operating from Pakistan took the responsibility of the attacks. Leaders from across the world, including UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, have extended their condolences and have condemned the attacks.
However, when the nation mourns over such dastardly attacks, there are a few individuals in media who are furthering their own agenda.
The Indian media seems to have stooped to a new low as it stands with terrorists, it considers verbal bashing of terror apologists to be as bad as terrorists killing CRPF Jawans. Interestingly, these personalities belong to the mainstream media and are eager to politicize the issue more than a politician would.
One of the prominent names is of Rana Ayyub, a journalist who has always been critical of the Modi government. She seems to have a problem with the country’s resolution to avenge the attacks and apparently wants, to keep quiet and wait for another attack?
Equally sickening today is the revenge talk on news channels. News anchors asking for khoon ka badla khoon se..

Another journalist, Abhisar Sharma, who belongs to the same league, is infamous for his propaganda against BJP and PM Modi. Sharma this time has compared Priyanka Vadra Gandhi to Amit Shah and wonders why Shah cannot cancel his commitments in Karnataka as Priyanka did in Lucknow. It must be the case of ignorance on the part of Abhisar Sharma as Home Minister Rajnath Singh has already canceled his commitment in Bihar and embarked on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir to take stock of the situation and hold review meetings with senior security and police officials. For Abhisar Sharma, it is easy to appear sympathetic and indulge in the blame game despite realizing the need of the hour. At this point of time, the nation needs politicians to be pro-active and deal with the situation with utmost care instead of merely canceling press conferences.
If Priyanka Gandhi can cancel her press conference , why cant @AmitShah cancel his political engagements in Karnataka ? Is there any end to this shamelessness? Lets question this now ! https://t.co/oCzvBD8ZdD

The list does not stop here as Sreenivasan Jain, another ‘journalist’ replied to a tweet posted by Jitendra Singh by calling him ‘shameful’ wherein all Jitendra Singh did was condemn those Kashmiri politicians who tend to be apologetic about the terror activities.
Shameful that a union minister would pivot so rapidly to troll-level language about terror apologists. https://t.co/e7Weh9KDDn

Sagarika Ghose’s tweet can at best be described as a desperate attempt to attract attention by being borderline treasonous and being disloyal to her country. Maybe she doesn’t realize that surgical strikes are what have been protecting the country by inducing a sense of fear in Pakistan.
Pathankot, Uri, CRPF India’s hardest targets have been hit while a hopeless directionless government trumpets videos of its so called surgical strikes and stages mythological shows with religious symbolism and pours communal poison. Get real! #Pulwama

Sanjukta Basu went as far as to accuse the Prime minister of conspiracy. There is a concept of freedom of speech and expression and then there is a concept of a traitor and Ms. Basu here might have just crossed over the line.
Could this be a conspiracy? The man can do anything.

In the wake of Pulwama attacks, the comments on the part of the aforementioned intellectuals and journalists are completely baseless and serve as examples of hypocrisy and opportunism. It is time for the country to stand united against the external threats as well as the traitors within.
